He'd done a lot of things in the last few years, true, but Frontier had seemingly appeared out of nowhere after Caroline's arrival. There was presumably a chance that they'd had their sights on him before he came into contact with her... but this was definitely some conspiracy. Drake didn't trust this woman one bit.
