<Let me preface this by saying that some of this just came to me.
- Both released incomplete
- Both "don't feel like a ___ game" (even though that belongs more to H5)
- Both were heavily criticized for story (add in multiplayer for D2)
- Both added clambering
- Both were heavily criticized in nearly every damn way possible
- Both companies are struggling to get shit in order (less apparent with Bungie)
- Both have troubles communicating with their fanbase (more apparent with Bungie)
- Both have narrative directors that double as comic book writers. Neither of which have the most popular iterations of characters/franchises. (Difference being that Brian Reed was never heard from again a year after Halo 5 came out but D2 hasn't even been out for a year yet so you never know)
