Dojoville, Sometime Around Noon
The hot sun beat down on his head, reflecting off his already light skin and turning Adrien into a living lamp from his brightness. His sunglasses managed to keep the sun out of his eyes well enough, though there was a thin crack in the top where his glasses and forehead failed to meet that sent rays into his blue eyes, causing him to squint slightly. A funny sight to any onlookers on the street, if one took humour in that sort of thing. Adrien looked down at the watch on his wrist, reading the time. About one in the afternoon, he still had some time before the bank closed for the evening. He made haste, maneuvering down the concrete sidewalk and into the glass door of the Dojoville Federal Bank.
Getting to the back of the line was quick, but waiting until it dwindled down to just a handful of people in front of him was agonizing, a painstakingly slow experience he wouldn't wish upon anybody. His hand moved into his jacket as he stood behind the last person in line, and he felt his bank card in his hands. Once the man in front moved out of the way with his cash, Adrien smiled to the banker on the other end. She looked fairly young for a banker, maybe twenty six, with flowing brown hair and an only slightly crooked smile on her dark-skinned face.
It took a few minutes to get it overwith, but Adrien had gotten the last of his money from the bank - Two hundred dollars or so, that was all he had. He shoved it in the pocket of his jeans with a sigh of annoyance. He knew his credentials weren't enough to get him into a high-paying job, especially having just moved to the city and all, but he needed to find work. When the opportunity arose, he'd look - Until then, he just kept on walking down the road, seeing the sights as he grew accustomed to his new city.
((Open. New character, gonna try to flesh him out more in RP.))

"Yeah," Adrien said, reaching into his pocket. He grabbed his phone and pulled it out, it was some form of Android.
-
She took it then, adding his number to a list of contacts in her own then. It would be a while before he would hear anything, in truth. After a moment she handed it back. "There, I'll contact you within the week."
-
"Awesome. My name is Adrien by the way." Adrien pocketed his phone then.
-
"Emily, everyone calls me Minx though." She gave a warm grin again.
-
"Mi-" Was all Adrien said, before that same smile made his words slur and turn into some mangled mess of syllables. He promptly shut up and wrote her name in, next to her nickname.
-
She let out a little giggle then, turning back to the line to keep up with it.
-
Adrien didn't have much to say, so he popped into another line, grabbed his coffee and left for the evening. He returned to his apartment, waiting for Minx to contact him the entire time.
