To each beginning is the start of its own end. This is the last social interaction available with Quincy and will remain open until the final part is concluded.
Lumpy. Not a word often associated with bar stools but it fit the bill perfectly for the abomination of a chair Quincy was sitting on. Other than the rocky surface texture of the stool, it was just like all the other smooth wooden ones.
The weather outside was terrible. Despite the bitterly cold temperatures, it was still managing to pour down raining, forcing most people to stay inside to avoid the downpour. And thus, the cafe was packed, and Q was stuck sitting in the one seat no one wanted. Waiting for his morning coffee to cool, he sat there tapping his fingers on the counter.

*He felt someone’s arms wrap around him from behind and Vorim’s familiar voice.* ^Hey there, hun. I thought I’d join you here for a bit.^
-
Pleasantly surprised, a soft sigh escapes through his maw, a smile crossing his face as he felt Vorim's comforting embrace. "Well, I've got no complaints. Sittin' here by myself was getting lonely anyway." he said as he leaned back onto Vorim's chest with closed eyes. "How's your day been so far?" he asks curiously, his tail swaying left and right slightly.

^It’s been good, but it’s better now that I’m with you.^ *He closed his eyes and yawned tiredly.* ^The kids have been such handfuls lately.^

"I hope they haven't been too much trouble. Is Sapphire watching them again?" he asks as he sticks his finger in his cup, wincing for a second before an ice cube bobs up. Taking his finger out of the now cooler drink, he lifts the cup to his mouth and takes a slow, slothful sip. Setting the cup back down, he sighs again, letting his eyes wander while he leans back against Vorim's chest.

^Yeah, they’re having an impromptu play date with Mari.^ *He squeezed Quincy gently and nuzzled between his ears happily. His tail swished around, lightly bumping into a waitress as she trotted by though Vorim was too focused on his husband to notice.*
