Hey everyone!
Man, I'm kinda burned out on video games as a whole, but its still winter where I'm at and have a few weeks before I come out of hibernation.
I was looking into Neverwinter because , 1) its free to download 2) I played D&D type games in the past and for the most part enjoyed them.
We all know how f2p works (they are rarely free for real), but is this game worth trying out? I will have to delete something in order to download it, and I'm really on the fence about it.
How is the learning curve?
Is the combat easy?
The games that I like are Diablo series, Borderlands series, Destiny 1, Warframe, see the pattern???
What do think? I don't see anyone really talking about it here, so it makes me think I might be wasting my time and hard drive space.
Thanks in advance for any insight that you could give me.
Edit: I'm not against buying a game, ESO online looked interesting, albeit it looked about the same as Neverwinter. As I stated above, Neverwinter is free.
Thanks again!!

Most MMO games require way too much of a time investment. A slog through monotonous content just to hit level cap. They feel like a chore to play after awhile. Terrible genre I recommend avoiding.

It's ok for been free but it gets boring quick.

Edited by NynjaHyppy: 2/5/2018 2:25:37 AMHmm...I got into Neverwinter for a little bit but it didn't hold my attention at all. However if you like D&D games you should check out Divinity Original Sin. It's 11 bucks on the PS Store right now and it is pretty close to how D&D works Edit: Sorry I lied to you. It is no longer on sale. Dragon Age Inquisition GoTY edition is on sale tho and that game is lots of fun. Get to control a party of 4 if you haven't played before giving it similarities to D&D

Edited by Legion: 2/5/2018 3:38:31 AMCombat is like most F2P MMO's where you have to create your character around a certain build and using a certain race to align with the class and build you are going for will definitely make a difference in the dps. Equipment works like most, get Better gear deal more damage. Their game has an online auction house where you can sell in game materials, gear, pets, etc. with this auction house it allows you to sell any and every item for payed for currency so going in as a Free player you have to keep an eye out for what is selling most or any seasonal and limited times events come around. Grind it out for the items that sell a lot, vanity items can sell for quite a few diamonds as well. Basically, if you are free to play there is a huge grind a head of you. You can also purchase nearly everything including VIP status with diamonds, the only thing you will miss out on is the Diamond purchase bonuses. It is an okay game from the short time I played, kind of clunky and looks like something I would have played in the early 2000's like Silkroad or Corum. Graphics are alright and well, it's a free to play. So have fun with a grind fest if you decide to play it.

Get final fantasy xiv. It's way better than any mmo I've played.

Meh, I guess for free Neverwinter isn't bad, but you're better off dropping the extra money to get Final Fantasy 14. Best MMO on console.
