So I'm not sure if these features have been requested, but I had a pretty insane thing happen to me last weekend. My cat deleted my Warlock… haha. So here’s the story. I log into Destiny, but I have to run to the little boys’ room. So I hover over my Warlock and press X to select it. Little did I know, I had not pressed X hard enough and I was still at the title screen, Warlock selected. My idiot cat then decides to jump on the couch and lay down on my controller while I’m gone… of course he lays down on the square button, because POOF… Warlock’s gone. Luckily, I’ve had problems with accidentally deleting characters (yes I know there’s a timer when you hold square) in various other MMO’s I’ve played so I keep shitty equipment on all my characters so I can swap into it and store my good stuff in the vault. So I lost progress, not equipment. This scenario made got me thinking about a couple features I think could save players a lot of headache: 1.) You can lock items, so why can’t you lock characters? I know there’s a countdown for deleting a character, but there is for dismantling weapons too. Seems like a good feature to add… you know, just in case someone’s stupid pet decides it’s going to be a vindictive asshole :P. Just 1 more step to make sure the player is TRYING to delete their character. 2.) So you can lock items so you don’t accidentally dismantle them. I think it’d be a cool safety precaution if all items that you have on your character that are locked, automatically get moved to vault when you delete it. What’s everybody think?
