To all the haterz

To all haters of D2 You say D2 is oversimplified as if it's a bad thing. Some people want that. The negatives in D2 are there, as they are in most games these days. You know, these days of a masterpiece being the only kind of AAA title that isn't harshly criticized. You have to try and appreciate what D2 devs are doing. They are being BOTH proactive and reactive with their patches and changes. In a game of this scope, style and substance, you aren't giving it the proper credit it deserves because your minority segment of the population is dissatisfied. The population is billions. Hard core video gamers are in the thousands. Do the math. It is still an amazing experience, even if you run out of things to do. So, if you don't like what Destiny has become, go play Monster Hunter, and quit your short sighted bitching and moaning. It's not going to change in the ways you want. D1 is not coming back.

Oh boy! Can I break your post down line by line? It will bring me much joy!
You say D2 is oversimplified as if it's a bad thing. Some people want that.
All right! A generalization followed up by a subjective claim without any evidence! Wow, we are off to an excellent start with this one, folks!
The negatives in D2 are there, as they are in most games these days. You know, these days of a masterpiece being the only kind of AAA title that isn't harshly criticized.
LOL - Then I guess we have not seen a "masterpiece" in some time! But in all honesty, not living up to your previous game is the problem here, not some vague argument that "nothing is perfect, so stop complaining" premise. Because that just makes no sense at all.
You have to try and appreciate what D2 devs are doing. They are being BOTH proactive and reactive with their patches and changes.
Yup! I did try. Sadly, their "proactive" attempts were designed around making their jobs easier, not taking risks and implementing changes intent on game improvement overall. Their "reactive" changes have been, for the most part, horrid attempts at calming a dissatisfied consumer base. Either way you look at it, neither approach is at all noble in either intent or execution.
In a game of this scope, style and substance, you aren't giving it the proper credit it deserves because your minority segment of the population is dissatisfied.
Well, if we were talking about D1 Year 3, I would agree with you. But considering Bungie reduced the scope of their game for easier management, I would say your argument is flawed from the start there. Also, your "minority segment" appears to be greater than you anticipate consider the daily numbers...
The population is billions. Hard core video gamers are in the thousands.
Gamers in general are what Bungie is going for here, not just the "hard core" crowd. And they failed to capture the majority in either category. Also, if "hard core gamers" were in the thousands, this market would not exist.
Do the math.
I did. You are wrong.
It is still an amazing experience, even if you run out of things to do. So, if you don't like what Destiny has become, go play Monster Hunter, and quit your short sighted bitching and moaning. It's not going to change in the ways you want.
Well, then we will probably never see a D3 as Activision won't gamble on a third installment with current numbers and consumer satisfaction where it currently is at. And Bungie will either be bought and cannibalized by Activision, or left wondering out in the cold hoping another big Triple A publisher opens their doors to them for their next "big" "epic" game "idea". Because, and I am not certain you know this, but: game development costs money. No one interested in buying a game = no money from publisher to develop = no game.
D1 is not coming back.
Well, to be fair it is not gone - I still have it on my console and can play it anytime I want, so...
