More proof bungie doesn't care or know about their own lore
Christine Thompson blocks people that points out how much they changing lore lol that's a great thing to do to your community lmfao
Edit - we actually have this trending. Keep it up everyone. The lore community has had enough with bungies narrative group screwing over 3 years of great content with a rich back story. It's time to say we have had enough.
Edit - let's keep this going and see if we can get the famous "we are listening" comment from one of the community managers. The rich d1 lore deserves better than this

This pig was on the cusp of ruining one of my all time favorite game franchises. She ruined the comics. The warmind was a let down (Both comics and expansion.) considering all the build up the first game put into Rasputin, I was so excited when they announced they would be wrapping up that part of the lore. I'm so glad they switched to a writer who actually cared about the story and what went into it for Forsaken. I'm not even that talented when it comes to writing, but I bet I could write a better story than her.

He was just asking questions as to "what goes where" and "that doesn't make sense". And frankly it seems like she's just making stuff up on the spot and trying to shut em up, like she [i]knows[/i] she's wrong but doesn't want to hear it.

Only someone who actually gave a s--t about Destiny would post a forty minute video about how important getting the lore right is. I'd rather have that person on my side then actively trying to remove said person from the discussion. As a new writer to the series shouldn't it be a high priority to make sure you're following a franchise's story correctly? It's not like he's obsessing over one thing. He's pointing out multiple inconsistencies in major parts of the story. It only confirms to a lot of people how little care is going into continuity and consistency within the Destiny universe.

Crazy how it seems like most Bungie employees care more for that pay check at the end of the week rather than the beautiful world that was constructed back in 2014. And furthermore, it is astounding that the management is a-ok with all this destruction. Who knew that the Darkness the Speaker was so worried about in Destiny 1 was being spear headed by Marge Stohl and Christine Thompson? I don't care what the Darkness has to say, the stuff in the comics is [b][i]not[/i][/b] canon in my heart. How can it be when the writers behind it clearly aren't devoted to the universe? You see this level of irreverence in the Star Wars universe right now as well. A bunch of writers wanting to tell their stories through the universe they represent rather than telling the stories of that universe. If I told a story and used the platform of feminism to tell it, yet I am not a feminist myself, you could bet money Christine Thompson would be all up and down my ass. "How dare this nobody man use my platform of feminism to tell [i]his[/i] story. How dare he say that [i]this[/i] is the reason the feminist movement exists! Typical of a no nothing sexist male! The audacity! It gets me so furious that men are allowed to get away with trying to rewrite [i]our[/i] history!" Yeah, well news flash Christy, that's how I feel when you act so irreverent towards the crafted lore you have been given the lucky opportunity to mess around with!

Honestly how could they. Anytime a new narrative director comes into play they want to take and twist and turn into their own. Joseph S , was pretty good and built an entire world and lore around it . We get a new writer who’s frankly bottom of the writing pool , placed her in a spot of significance . Now as a community we have to watch her tear out the lore we love and replace it with her own childish twist.

As a British person (English more specifically), I'm down with the whole amateur thing. I love an underdog, I love spontaneous creativity and I especially love that in music and art however I am not at all in love with the narrative in D2. Sometimes you've got to break a few eggs etc. to find a personal niche/omelette and sometimes you've got to say 'I've broken a lot of eggs (and pissed off a lot of people along the way) and never made a great omelette...or even one that someone else ate...Time for something else.' I would have loved to have grown up to be an astronaut or a bad-ass cowgirl (like Roy Goode) but I faced the fact, long ago, that pretending to be that thing or trying to convince others that I was that thing, didn't actually make me that thing.
