Anyone tired of seeing the CMs having to explain or emphasize changes after the fact?

So Tuesday comes around, and with it comes the Nightfall changes and the new emblems. The Nightfall changes were, for the most part, something that was anticipated. The emblems in my opinion—although it's understandable to wish that something else was worked on instead—were a great idea and the stat tracking could've been the replacement for that sweet, sweet Grimiore score of D1. To me this update had everything good going for it. Until it didn't Now we have a normal Nightfall that has no modifiers, and we have emblems (Victorius Veteran and Glory of the Emperor) that don't even properly track the stats that the developers took the time to get these emblems to track. What I want to discuss is the fact that once again, we had to wait until we had the update in our hands and until people noticed and started to question and complain for our CMs to tell us (paraphrasing here) "Working in such a manner because reason X". I am tired of the reactive communication. Bungie stated that they were going to give us proactive heads up, and I was expecting it to last. What a fool I was. About the No-Modifier Normal Nightfall In the 2/08 TWAB, the talking points from neither Tyson Green nor John Favaro explicitly stated that the old Nightfall modifiers were being removed, though with the removal of the time limit it was pretty obvious that at least the modifiers related to the time limit would be removed too. Favaro talked about the new Prestige modifiers, but who would think that bringing in new modifiers for the Prestige difficulty would strip normal Nightfall of its own modifiers? Especially since as far back as I've played and remember (I started back in D1 between TDB and HoW) Nightfall has always had modifiers. One can argue that the removal of all modifiers was alluded to because of a sentence down towards the bottom of the TWAB:
You can complete the normal Nightfall and get a score, or you can take on the Prestige Nightfall and ratchet up your score with some modifiers.
Nonetheless, I am disappointed that neither of these two individuals decided to explicitly state, "With these changes to the Nightfall activity, we are removing all modifiers from the normal difficulty Nightfall." About the Kind-of Tracking Emblems I think a Destiny Reddit user really summed up my feelings on these emblems. Before this, I thought the developers at Bungie weren't giving the CMs the tools they need to succeed. Now I'm not even sure if the developers are giving themselves the tools theyneed to succeed. Why weren't the issues with the new Crucible emblem and the Leviathan Prestige Raid emblem mentioned by Senior Design Lead Tyson Green in the 2/22 TWAB? He had a chance to give us a heads up about the Crucible emblem and the Prestige Raid emblem and he didn't. Why didn't he? I think that as the Senior Design Lead, he would know the status of these kinds of developments. • Yep, this is a failure on my part. In the process of collecting patch notes and getting ready for release, I missed high priority items like the ones you mentioned above. This also includes a revision of the patch notes to include Fireteam members being visible on Destination Map. Moving forward, I am looking to be much more proactive on known issues. Some bugs were filed, but weren't on my radar. Others were documented, but in a place that I wasn't tuned in to. We've held a meeting internally to note some pain points in our processes leading to release - which we plan to address prior to 1.1.4 and 1.2.0. I'll be more in tune with our test and design teams, leading to stronger communications and releases. Cheers, -dmg
