Ok can we just talk about the logic of the ghosts.

Ok so we know ghosts can die from being shot while bringing back their guardians or being out in the open, but is there a way you can capture a ghost without deactivating it? Like maybe a material if created in a box you can disable its ability to teleport so you can capture ghosts. Also is there an energy meter to these ghosts? if they can teleport me so much why not just teleport me from planet to planet instead of planet to ship to planet? Just wanna know.

    A smaller version of what gaul and the red legion used on the traveler. Which wouldn't seem hard to make since its on such a smaller scale but who knows for sure. You would just make the device without the 'drain' function to preserve the ghost for study

  • The ghosts themselves is just a mechanical "robot" that relays the power from the travellers light. They dont teleport you from planet to ship to planet. The ship "beams" you up and down (transmat)

  • I don't know about the capturing, but Ghosts seem to work on a pretty close range teleportation system. So, when the Red Legion attacked, your Ghost got lost and couldn't teleport back to you because you were far away. Maybe they have to be in the immediate area and know where you are? Also, keep in mind that we do use the ships, and the transmat/ teleport only ever really happens when we're around those, so maybe it's a ship function to teleport Guardians and not a Ghost function.

  • As far as the teleportation aspect goes, I can make the guess that it has something to do with light/terraformed planets. While the speaker says that there’s light in everything, maybe the teleportation aspect can only be effective in the boundaries of these planets or within close proximity to them, which would explain why we can’t teleport through open space

  • I like to think a y charged/active cage would work easy. If i ever get around to writing my fallen fan fic
