<Insert poll because why not? Also, I like polls>
Has anyone ever left a casual match you've played in? (Opt.)
Begin Rant
I genuinely and sincerely hope that there is at least some form of punishment for the people who leave casual crucible and not just competitive. You know the people I speak of. The ones that leave you utterly and entirely alone when you and your team are falling far behind because they refuse to play the game and get kills or you yourself aren't doing too well. Now, this isn't meant to bash on people's skill levels, we're all different and I realize that and that is fine, but even if you're losing, you shouldn't abandon the match. At least definitely not that fast. You should stick to it otherwise it becomes much less fun for the person on the receiving end when it's a 1v4.
End rant.

Edited by Swiftlock: 3/23/2018 6:02:43 PMPunishing players who leave a casual game because they don't have fun putting up with uneven teams and laggy opponents? That doesn't sound like a good design choice at all. If anything, it'll drive more players AWAY from playing Casual because they're afraid of being locked into games against stacked teams with bad connections and the threat of punishment if they leave. Negative reinforcement is not how you make casual mode more fun. Competitive mode, on the other hand, should always have very strict leaver penalties, but putting them in Casual is excessive.

Edited by BlahhDBlahh: 3/29/2018 11:31:44 AMThere should’t be any penalty in casual. The main problem why people quit is due to full fireteams being matched against all single played. That’s a huge disadvantage right off the start. Until they change this problem, people will continue to quit.

nerver quitted i still play the match 1 v 4 ,
-
I have never quit a match. I have a responsibility to the other people on my team to be as active and supportive (with my limited skills) as I can be. I joined the match, so my all is all I can give. I've been plopped into impossible matches, it sucks and I feel bad for the other guys who've been on the receiving end the entire match. It tanks enthusiasm, and wreaks the team dynamic (though sometimes there isn't one to begin with). I never go into competitive, I hate dragging down the teams there. I can (mostly) hold my own in quickplay.
-
I never quit. Win with grace and lose with honor.

They should just have a better matching system, the current system sucks. We should get placed in games with people w similar rankings. And to no put solo players against a full team of try hards
-
Heh I can see it now. People staying in matches and charging enemy team and dying over and over again. Not contributing at all. Well thats what happens when people are forced to do something they don't want to do. Bungie you might want to rethink punishing people for quitting. It will come back and bite you. Also to the people that want it. you might want to rethink it. Say 100 people play pvp and 50 get punished for 30 min, well that means matchmaking has only 50 people to match you with. which means longer wait times while matchmaking.
-
Adding quitter penalties will just help pubstompers. Most pubstomping groups watch the player list as the game is matchmaking, cancelling if any decent players appear and waiting until they get a lobby full of noobs. If someone leaves, there's a chance they'll be replaced by decent players who can turn the tide of the fight.
-
Fix the problems that make players leave the game early before implementing punishments. If you do the punishments first it will just stop people playing crucible all together and with a all ready small population it could be a death blow.
-
If i start a match, run out get a kill, get killed, look back and 1-2 team mayes are sitting in spawn, Im leaving. Penalty will only lose bungie more players. 4v4 makes akf and matchmaking worse. Shitty matchmaking, afk, lags, 4 stacks vs solos is losing bungie way more players than quitters. Fix matchmaking, add solo queue, add playlist. Most quitting would go away. Quality of d2 pvp is too bad to piss people off.

Edited by XxMaverick135Xx: 3/23/2018 10:00:01 PMI have never left a crucible game on purpose. It’s a game who cares if people leave because the team is losing. This penalty crap will piss off a lot of players who lose connections.
-
Firstly. It's just a game. Secondly I'd always leave a game against a 4 man team as a solo player or if the mode/map repeated because bungo wants us to play how they do.

Im mostly curious what this quitting penalty will mean for me if the matchmakes chooses to put me into a 2v4 game that has already started and the team I join is loosing by huge numbers... if I then leave, could I face a lockout time by 30min?
