Would like to report that when switching weapons after initiating sprint, players who then crouch to go into a slide will instead just crouch, losing all their momentum. This does not occur when not switching weapons, normally characters who start to sprint then immediately crouch will instantly slide, but when switching weapons between the sprint/crouch combo (i.e. when waiting to grab power, then being shot at and wanting to find cover/bring out primary weapon, this occurs constantly) characters will stop sprinting and crouch which loses all momentum.
Also, when sprinting and jumping up a set of stairs, characters will lose all momentum and begin their sprint up to full speed at 0 speed again. Stair interactions with characters are sluggish, and prevent fast paced gameplay.
On PC, also have noticed that after initiating a slide animation using the hold to crouch feature, characters will sometimes stay crouched as if using the toggle crouch feature.
These are a few things that cause characters to not be able to travel around the map swiftly and "Go Fast".
Edit: Also would like to add that when activation a super in Destiny 1 while mid-air, characters would float or hover while in the activation animation, which allowed for supers to maintain momentum while turning corners to go in full speed on a team. In Destiny 2, characters who are mid-air will go into animation and then slow down to a stop mid-air, only to start falling where they activated the super. This allows opponents to hear the activation and turn and run away. There's no art to surprise attacking a team around a corner with supers.
