if you guys still don't believe those "rumors" about low player numbers in the game, and you still don't believe that trials has little to no players at all, let me tell you something about the state of the crucible and i'm gonna focus on the casual playlist in this topic
i had today various matches in this playlist, and all have been with the same group of people, weird right? my theory is that the algorithm of matchmaking since it favors connection more and with the low player numbers it pairs you up with the same fireteam again since there are not many playing in the same area that have a good connection
another reason why the numbers are low it's because you are getting paired up with stacks of fireteams of 3 to 4 people, in the first months of this game being released there was more randoms and less stacks due to the playerbase being high at the time, now that the game has it's first DLC released and the second one coming soon, there has been less randoms or new low level players in the casual playlist and only a few fireteams are playing the casual playslist wich then causes the problem of getting paired up with the same group of people over and over again
i haven't bought the DLC and haven't played for a long time (since december before the xmas event happened), i wanted to play these days to change what has changed during my absence from destiny, the updates don't do anything at all except change the pvp meta and very tiny improvements to pve, the game is dead to me and i won't come back to this since the dev team is slow with the updates and i'm not gonna wait until next year when the game is fixed, the pvp and pve is dead period.
