First, love the March update. I finally feel like when I get killed in the Crucible, it's because I got outplayed rather than because I had an inferior weapon class.
Now, I have an idea with the whole random rolls situation. The thing about random rolls is that they're incredibly hard to balance. That is mostly because everyone won't be lucky enough to get a "God roll." So, imagine this:
You're playing the Crucible. You get a hand cannon with say kill clip and outlaw on it (assuming we get two perks like that here for the sake of arguement). However, you're not a hand cannon kinda guy. But instead of dismantling it, you head over to Banshee and say, "Hey Banshee. Put this weapon up for auction. Starting at 100 legendary shards or best trade offer."
Say you want that hand cannon but can't afford it. Well, send a trade offer and put up a weapon they might find interesting. Boom it may be yours.
Think about it. Banshee would have a purpose. Legendary shards would have more use. More and more people would have access to the rolls they want and the rolls that suit their playstyle simply because one of the many other players of Destiny may have gotten it for them. And, that player based economy would give virtually all weapons some sort of value. That's something I'd come back to every day.
