Here comes yet another salt filled negative comment about something in D2, and I'm sorry about that, but I used to play competitive a few rounds when I could, though I'd lose most of the time due to how the matchmaking works.
The removal of the radar just put competitive entirely in favor of a team of 4 friends/clanmates, which isn't inherently wrong, but it's really not fair to those that want to just pop into a competitive match.
Team members can now call out where they saw enemies through voice chat or whichever party chat system the team is using, while the enemy team of 4 solo players are running around like chickens with their heads cut off.
I'm not saying that removing the radar was a mistake, but I am saying that it didn't fix any real problems, just adds more importance to having a stacked team and ganking the lone wolves.
