Anyone else not having fun as a solo player?
Anyone else not having as much fun as a single player? I feel like I used to be able to hop in and feel like I accomplished something each time I logged in, but now its feels like im wasting my time. Havent had much luck or motivation to do the raids. I only play solo cause the 10 people or so I could rely on, to play with, gave up on the game. Its probably just me, but was just curious. I really wish they had match making for the content.

Amazed at the responses guys! I just wanted to clarify that yes, I understand that I could use LFG or play a different game (which I do) its just that this game isnt as friendly towards the solo player. I used to have 2 groups of people to play with but they all became jilted by the game and quit. Im essentially the last guy holding out for this game still. Haha. The biggest issue right now I have is loot progression, and something to chase. Like a grasp of malok with the perfect role! LOVE heroic strikes feeling Heroic. I just wish there was a carrot to chase there like in D1. Thanks again for all the responses.

1 ReplyThen join a good Clan with Discord and get in there. You can do a lot solo but you aren't going to get any 1 payer end game content, this isn't Borderlands and it never will be. Find an active Clan and have fun.

The real issue is that getting to max light accomplishes nothing. It only helps you do the raid lair. All you get from the raid lair or a fushion and sidearm. Why would anyone grind up for those weak rewards.

on my main character, a bit. i have been bitten 3 times by a bug which reset my daily challenge progress on mars and on my main (hunter) it has glitched the 4 adventures on mars so that while ana bray it says they are active, the markers dont appear either on the map or so that i can choose them to begin the adventures. the places where they should be are just empty. so i cant buy them to put them on the map, because it says tjhey ARE on the map but obviously the rollback or whatever that happened to me 3 times around 6pm on mars has removed the markers without resetting them at ana bray, effectively the only adventure i can buy is heroic incursion and i know if i do buy it, the marker wont appear on the map - but the adventures appear for the titan and warlock just fine. i made a post in pc support

I’m loving it collect things to get my sword and the other weapons the protocol needs matchmaking and pvp seems better

I’m enjoying the game... but I usually can get a team together for end game content. Sorry to hear about your situation. Hopefully things turn around for ya. Although lfg is a crap-shoot... I do hear more positive than negative lately so hopefully you can piece together a team for the raids. As far as quests and such, I have been enjoying the attempts solo. Being under powered has made it challenging and fun to change things up to accomplish said tasks. I have also enjoyed the struggle with choosing my weapon load outs due to the many fun exotics due to the update. Do I go with the sleeper because it will melt anything in my path, the huckleberry because reloading is for noobs, the graviton because of mini nova bombs for days, or the sword... or as I refer to it, the peregrine grieves reborn... the struggle is real... The path to get here was rough and I actually rate the warmind dlc it self a 5/10 for the lack of a deep story... but I give the update an 9/10 and hope that the “live team” stays alive this summer. I just play crucible and do my milestones on each character, I enjoy playing solo, you won’t enjoy it if you’re utterly shit at the game though.

3 RepliesActually I'm having a lot of fun solo. Competitive is okay and the grind for Redrix's Claymore is fun, not to mention the sleeper stimulant quest. Then I have a long list of milestones each week to get my power up so I can do Escalation Protocol

I'm a solo player and i enjoy myself on the game. I do everything in the game but Trials. I play almost everything in the game solo besides Nightfall or Raid, i either play with my clan or get some players from LFG.

I'm certainly not. Just playing Monster Hunter now until something interesting happens (like whenever Black Spindle gets discovered) Certainly doesn't feel worth a solo players time to do anything in the game currently.

I’m the same. There is very little end game activity for solo players which rival trials or the raid or the 2 raid lairs. But what it means for me is that I will not be buying the paid dlc come September. If there is no content for a mostly solo player then I don’t see the reason to continue playing. Pretty simple logic really. There are plenty of other games to spend my time and money on which will quench my solo needs and if destiny 2 can’t provide it I’m sure the others will.

I kinda feel that its not so much the fact that I prefer to solo but more that I just find D2 pretty boring. Ive tried to like it being a D1 fan but its just not the same anymore. In D1 I could just go on patrol all evening and not get bored, but when I try in D2 its just monotonous and after like 10 mins Ive had enough. The strikes are the same, I could spend all evening doing them but again in D2 after about 3 or 4, thats enough. I actually used to like being with the same people for the next strikes but they took that away as well so you just feel detached from your fellow players. The whole game feels detached sadly.

Honestly I get where you're coming from, but I hate what you and others like you are doing. The lot of you crying for changes to suit the aolo player needs will end up resulting in destiny 2 catering to solo players and that will make the game too easy and too boring, even worse than it was at launch. Right now warmind is a huge step in the right direction, don't need that change going down the crapper.

i read so much about how this is supposed to be a co-op game for the moment i'm on Mars playing with 4 people on the planet 2 hiding in a cave, 1 just running around and 1 standing still on top of one of the towers for about 30 minutes now so this is how you play this game ? or is this the co-op you are expecting when you want to do something i remember a time when i went in the game that there where 40+ players on 1 planet now you can hardly find 10 even on weekends tells me that this game is somewhat dying or dead the Warmind is a joke, +2 - 3 hours of gameplay, they made everything harder but you can't level up because there's nobody around to play anything this is becoming a painfull awareness that Bungie don't want me to play this anymore so after playing D1 for 2+ years and playing D2 for almost a year, i guess it's time to move on to something else because there is no fun in this game anymore

I’ve given up on the solo life. It’s too tedious without help so I just use lfg and meet new people.

sometimes I find a group of the right people make all the difference. unless you are content being a solo player a clan with the right vibe/environment might hep.

I'm good Every night I'll hop on, do a quest step or two, a few public's, open a few sleeper nodes, I need to do the heroic.. Then on the weekend, I'll lfg up for one nightfall, then hop into heroic strikes It's all the exact same things I did before warming, all the way back to D1. I'm actually having more fun with warmind just because of all the additional things I can do on my own.
