Anyone else not having as much fun as a single player? I feel like I used to be able to hop in and feel like I accomplished something each time I logged in, but now its feels like im wasting my time. Havent had much luck or motivation to do the raids. I only play solo cause the 10 people or so I could rely on, to play with, gave up on the game. Its probably just me, but was just curious. I really wish they had match making for the content.
EDIT 5-17
Amazed at the responses guys! I just wanted to clarify that yes, I understand that I could use LFG or play a different game (which I do) its just that this game isnt as friendly towards the solo player. I used to have 2 groups of people to play with but they all became jilted by the game and quit. Im essentially the last guy holding out for this game still. Haha. The biggest issue right now I have is loot progression, and something to chase. Like a grasp of malok with the perfect role! LOVE heroic strikes feeling Heroic. I just wish there was a carrot to chase there like in D1. Thanks again for all the responses.

It's something to do until borderlands 3 comes out .
-
Popped on and played the 1st week of release and was enjoying playing the story mode. I didn't buy the DLC as I really don't have an interest in this game anymore but I keep checking the forums to see if it has had an upturn.
-
Yup same here pal, except I'm on PC so playerbase is super thin. Lol
-
There’s me n 1 mate left no 1 else has returned I only came back because he did and it cost £10 to get a copy of D2 again. If he’s not on finding a group is difficult these days I waited over 30mins for NF group did the NF using the matchmaking and it didn’t count towards to my milestone what’s the point in it 😂

Get in a bigger clan.
-
I don't even have fun in Fireteams let alone Solo.
-
PvP is an uninspiring waste of time solo. Even with the fixes, largely due to latency issues. The other reason you probably don't feel like you're progressing is because Exotics no longer give a power gain. Even if you didn't get one in the session, you knew you might have, and that small increase in power would drive you to come back. As it stands, since the only way to gear up is milestones, there's no real reason for a solo player to sign in more than to do their milestones.

I guess that just like 90% of the players, you don’t see boring the perpetual lack of anything fun to shoot with or at, or the time and activity gated progression as fun. Especially when there is nothing beyond progression except tanking and doing more DMG in ultra boring raids. The funniest thing is all the scrubs who now go by the LL again lmao. They’re all happy to be almost maxed out already. I mean it’s like they enjoy cutting the only branch they can sit on.

Im a self proclaimed solo player, but I recently joined an active clan. Finding mates to fight the darkness with has been a lot easier on me. You could use the fireteam maker on this app to find some people. The new system makes it easier to connect without giving out friend requests. I also play by myself from time to time. Gotta get those nodes and quest exotics. Ana bray has been keeping me busy with her quests.
-
Yo home dawg join a new clan then
-
Daily player and it is so bad I think I might be cured from the game this time.
-
People on lfg sites are a nightmare

I agree it's not ideal. I much prefer solo, rather than deal with some arsehole egotistical kids - I have my day-job for enough of that thanks! My clan is quite chill, older people mostly, SilvasSquad, I hop in from time to time when I feel the need to. Always looking for members. My PS4 tag is Swapash (not Swampash- long story) send me a fr if you want. I don't mind doing anything - running around shooting baddies, pointlessly, is my speciality! Otherwise, quite experienced (5000 hrs in D1 and D2), all Raids, Lighthouse a few times in D1 (though I'm not PvP's biggest fan and don't take it seriously).
-
If you’re on PSN send me a friend request and I’ll invite you to my clan. psn is GooN_x_LeGenDz

It really sucks as i cannot complete all the weekly milestones. I've been stuck at 345 since 2nd day of launch and see no way outta that 345 hole. #forever 345

Solo is the only way to play Communication is overrated Keep it Antisocial
-
Playing in a clan won’t make this game any better. It’s going to be the same disappointment, but at least you’ll all be disappointed at the same time.
-
Now you know Luke Smith was taking the p*ss out of all paying customers when he said Destiny 2 was a friendship game.
-
I joined a large, active clan and it helped my Destiny quality of life a lot.
-
I'm really not. Especially in Crucible and to go more into depth, Competitive. Its super unfair right now. Not the fact that solo players are getting put up against sweaty 4 stacks and getting put with idiots almost every game, but the fact that you are facing people who are a completely different rank from you.

Edited by ImOnPlate2Guys: 5/17/2018 5:44:56 AMSometimes, but then I remember I choose to not play with others and that Destiny is a multiplayer game. So if I really wanna do things like raiding, well, then I have to find some time next to work and exercise and ask the clan/LFG/Guided Games. Whining about it won't solve it mate. Find some friends, or find a game more suitsble for you.

I play solo. Only ever post on here for nightfalls. The raids I'm not to fussed about but will jump in at some point. The slow Grind is better as will keep me coming back for a while longer. May slow down once I have the sleeper quest and other secret exotics done etc. Be back to the usual milestone grind. Once I get to highest level and have everything I want Il prob be done till next Dlc.
-
I am cool with the slow grind...always reach top level before next expansion on all three characters...just do not have the time to play raids or nightfalls since all reliable friends quit Destiny...just chillin
-
The removal of random rolls has pretty much stopped me playing. As a solo player in Destiny 1 I used to look forward to playing after work and getting any weapon or armour with various perks on them. Enjoying levelling them and seeing if they made a good combo with other gear and skills on the class trees. Always striving and hungry for that something better coming along. Now in Destiny 2,after a week of playing you could have all the game has to offer gear and skill tree wise. The gameplay is still amazing but the carrot on the stick isn't there to keep me hoping for something better or different to experiment with.
-
I'm hard pressed having fun in a group let alone solo.
-
I never have fun solo. That's why I bought Destiny, a shared-world shooter, co-operative game.
