The problem is you can't do anything else but wait. It'll be a lot better if you can just explore the world while waiting for a guide.

Then use LFG or the Bungie forums...you can look for people while doing stuff in game.

The problem is the right tools are not in place so the “wait” factor is relevant. There’re not enough people playing this game to reduce wait times in Guided Games. If we could run basic activities while in queue, then it would be bearable. Optional matchmaking for certain activities (except the raid) would be more ideal. Yeah..... you may get places with randoms, but players make that risk/decision, not Bungie.

Did I say it was ideal bud? That is why you have Find Fireteam on the Bungie.net website for when you don't want to wait.

People wanted matchmaking and they got it. I'm not defneding it cause I realize how long it takes to matchmake and it should be quicker, but when people bitch and moan about nightfall and raid matchmaking and then get it, it is annoying to keep hearing the bullshit spew out of their entitled mouths. Also to correct you, raid and nightfall matchmaking is the communities lame assed idea, not Bungie's cause people have asked for this all the way back in D1 and Bungie gave them what they wanted.

It’s not entitled, I paid for a multiplayer game, I expect matchmaking, not guided games, actual matchmaking where I click on the game and it matches me into a team like any other normal multiplayer game. Nothing entitled about that

That is in the game. Heroic strikes, normal strikes, and crucible all do that. If you expect to be handed a fire team for free no matter what you’re trying to do, then you really need to take a step back and realize that isn’t how it works. You’re not entitled to a fire team. You need to find one yourself. You’re not entitled to friends. You need to find them yourself.

Not worth fighting with entitled people. They expect everything and when it is given they cry that it wasn't the way they wanted. The thing is people like that don't understand that Raids and Nightfalls already have matchmaking and if they queued into a Trials match made game, then 4 stacks would slam them right into the dirt.
