So I just read the twab. Other than Crucible fireteam matchmaking I'm not sure which statements show an Improvement in solo progression per say. Maybe in the improvements in Heroic strike rewards etc. I guess we'll see. I'm going to play more this weekend. Still getting my second character through the campaign (to which I'm also doing CoO campaign which I know ever did on 1). I'll talk to my kids who have been among all wee as well.

  • Its the Heroic strike rewards changes. Its basically means that---if you're grinding that strike playlist----every 3-5 strikes you get an additional "Powerful gear" drop up to Power level 360 (365 with mods). The fact that its a matchmade activity and can be completed without team communication, is a good step (imo) towards bridging the gap in access to loot between raiders and solo players. As well as the fact that the game quickly runs out of things to do to vertically progress your character once you complete the Milestones. The biggest thing though was their admission that this is simply an INTERIM step---for the purposes of troubleshooting intended changes. So this is not a "final step"...and they are not happy with the situation either.

  • Agreed on this, i think the best thing to do is stop playing when youre a solo player and check in again in september. It could give Bungie a big scare though , there are probably more soloplayers around then Bungie think there are.

  • Well I"m glad they're looking at it. I couldn't really see them dismissing solo play. For as much as they 'encourage' Clans and teaming up it would be really dumb to break solo play. May 29th is a good time frame for me for the Heroic Strike change. I should have at lest 2 characters properly leveled to deal with them by then.
