The world was met with a rising sun. A blood-red sun, of course. Sunlight seeped through every tree and rock. Shadows of people could be seen, walking at a steady pace through the trees. Voices of laughter and pain could be heard. Soon, the team of twelve became visible as they emerged out of a thick forest of trees and ferns. Cell-3 had found a replacement for his right appendage at the OAFL Armory. It seemed to fit him perfectly. Robo Owl sat on his walking mech, holding in his hand a white and black hand cannon with red wisps surrounding the barrel. He spun it around in one hand before holstering it. Deatheater held in his hand a scythe that seemed to have been formed from moonlight itself. Its blade seemed to have stars in it, and the cosmos could be seen twisting and turning on its edge. ImmaDrizzit, his chest covered in blood and his helmet cracked in various places, held a sword that seemed to be rough and crimson red. The edge of the blade seemed to have encrusted red material. TotallyNotThor emerges out of the forest with his wolf, Onyxia, right as his heels. His hands seemed to be crackling with lightning and they seemed to be drenched in water. Hammerfist appeared in front of the trees, trying out his phasewalk. He held in his hand a scimitar with three jewels encrusted in its hilt, gleaming with the sun’s light. The edge seemed to be razor sharp, as one touch could cause a cut. ManofLight had become temporarily blinded by the sunlight, growling as it struck him straight in he face. He held in his right hand three Kunai tipped with a red substance. Diana stands calmly amidst the team, leaning on her staff and sighing gratefully as she sees morning light. Her staff was golden with intricate designs on its handle and a sphere on both ends. A sun carved out of gold could be seen at one end. At last, MagicSpaceKitty emerges out of the woods, groaning as she breaks out of the trees with a peculiar pet in her arms. It hisses and bites as MagicSpaceKitty tries to hold it. It seemed to be a blue baby wyvern, with a tuft of Black and blue fur on its elbows and back. Its scales shimmered bright blue as light bounced off of it, and its little blue reptilian eyes observed every moment around it. Artemis emerges next to MagicSpaceKitty, her new bow in hand, and she is followed by Foofer and Phoenix. After the team of twelve stood in a horizontal fashion, they observed beneath them a town thriving with the sound of bells and people. Cell-3 began to make his way down the hill towards the town. The team followed, with MagicSpaceKitty still struggling with the wyvern...
“Gah. This thing is so crazy...” she says as the wyvern nearly slips out of her hands, hissing as she caught it.
“You think we haven’t noticed?” ManofLight responds, carefully observing a pair of Kunai in his right hand.
“Well you just gotta dragon for a little longer...” Robo Owl adds, Who is then shortly met with a furious gaze from Phoenix.
Foofer offers to hold the wyvern, and MagicSpaceKitty accepts without hesitation. As he cradles the creature in his hands, it started to feel a lot better.
After a few minutes of walking among a grassy meadow, the team had reached the outskirts of the town. Armored guards with helmets and visors kept watch in towers. A giant wooden gate stood in front of the team, with walls protruding from both sides of it. Cell-3 signaled a nearby guard, and the two talked for a moment...
“Sure is a beautiful city...” Says Diana, interrupting the silence.
Chatter of guards can be heard in the air as they are seen manning cannons and crossbows. Some laugh, some stare, but they all had their eyes focused on the team. After about a minute, the guard that Cell-3 had conversed with withdrew from the conversation and yelled out a word from an unknown language to a guard near the gate. The guard near the gate seemed to have been standing next to a lever, and he nodded his head after he had heard the word and he signaled the team forward. The team took a few steps forward until the guard cranked the lever, lifting up the wooden gate by two chains. The guards on the watchtowers urged the team in as if something was chasing after them. The team quickly rushed inside, and the huge wooden gate behind them closed with a mild thud as the chains lifting the gate collapsed. In front of them were buildings and huts organized in a grid-like pattern. Dirt roads paved the way between buildings, and people in ragged clothes walked the roads. The buildings seemed to have been made out of some sort of clay, and they seemed to be at least four stories tall with windowless openings. People popped their heads out of their houses, observing the travelers with great interest and caution. One guard clad in gold armor that had covered his chest, arms, legs, and helmet had rushed over to the group, lifting his visor up to reveal black hair flowing down his shoulders and green eyes staring at the team with a friendly look...
“Hello, Sacred Warriors. I see that the prophecy has been fulfilled again. I am Captain Cormick of the Valkyr Defenses. Pleased to meet you...”
The rest of the team had said their greetings, with TotallyNotThor’s wolf, Onyxia, howling in response. Cormick looked at the Canine with friendly and caring eyes, and he signaled the team to follow him with his hand...
“The queen would be pleased to meet the warriors of the prophecy. The royal house shouldn’t be too far from here.” Says Captain Cormick as he led the way through the maze of buildings.
Phoenix cut a nearby pedestrian a mean and threatening look with his eyes as he walked through the road. The pedestrian nearly jumped in fear. Diana took in the sights around her. Foofer kept stroking the baby wyvern in his hands, now asleep...
“Damnit. I hope it doesn’t piss....” he says quietly...
“The only thing it’ll do is piss you off...” ManofLight adds as he walks slowly past the buildings, ignoring Cormick’s lecture. MagicSpaceKitty takes the Wyvern back from Foofer, with Foofer sighing in relief as he looks at his scaly hands, now covered with blue fur...
