It’s the Fourth of July, so naturally that means it’s time for some fancy explosions. Let’s celebrate in a different way by dicussing our favorite explosives in video games! This could range from something as small as some fire crackers or a grenade to an orbital bombardment battery. Combat viability does not have to apply!
For me, I think I might give the artillery strikes from Rising Storm 2 my love.

Edited by ThyLordIntrovert: 7/6/2018 6:46:35 PMPosting again! Glitched weapon combo in halo 5, rocket launcher plus binary rifle, I could usually drop the game to about 10 FPS per trigger pull

I've always loved the Multi-missiles in Armored Core. I have a particular soft spot for the XCS-9900 in the original game and the ZWX-IV/PURSUIT in Armored Core 2.

Nothing really beats firing the BFG 9000 into a room full of demons. Everything explodes, including the room! 😉

Launching mini nukes in fallout is always so much fun, especially if the launcher has the MIRV was it thing.

I think I’ll bring up another favorite of mine: Toxic Grenades from Blacklight Retribution! There’s a fair amount of kills I’ve made from fellows who unknowingly walked into these corrosive green clouds.

Red faction, you can blow up everything

Tactical nuke is pretty great

Edited by c111whelan999: 7/4/2018 10:57:43 PMIf anyones played the Earth Defense Force series, the Sky Turtle from EDF 2/Global Defence Force on PS2 was always a particular favourite of mine. A launcher that shoots a rocket slower than your natural running speed, but has amazing homing capabilities and packs perhaps the biggest punch in the game. I have fond memories of just launching 20 Sky Turtles at the beginning of the mission, then running to where the nearest insects were and watching armageddon just rain down. Edit: just got on my copy of GDF, some stats and tidbits for context. - 30m Blast Radius (60m in diameter) - 10 seconds to reload a single rocket (lol) - 4000 damage per rocket (in comparison, the best 'non-meme' rocket launcher deals 1200 damage per rocket) - Is nicknamed the 'Mighty Slow Poke' (official description in-game)

I want an old style cartoon mini movie trology called George’s Day Out, Boxcar George, and George at the Air Show. Already got the plotlines, too!

Edited by FinalBossVX: 7/5/2018 12:50:44 AMPlaced explosives like -Claymores & bouncing betties I get thousands of kills with em in CoD games. Literally like 14,000 in some games, like blackOps3. Ppl just keep falling em for em over & over & over & fail to adapt.
