I wouldn't say the diversity issue is being shoved at all. It might seem that way to religious kinds but then anything that the religious kind don't like is being "Forced" and "shoved". They did the same and used the same words during black equality and the women's movement. They said it was being forced down the throats of people. There were even boycotts of television stations that aired episodes of "The Jeffersons" and "Good Times" because some bunch of malcontents did not want black people to be seen in a normal light. The fact is, the entertainment industry has a very large population of gay people. The game developing community has a very large population of gay people, Scriptwriters and all writers in general have very large portions of gay people. Most technology companies have large populations of gay people and game companies are no different. Heck, the clothes you are wearing was almost 100% designed by a gay person. Diversity is one of the things that literally makes the difference between a society and a great society. Accepting other people who are different because of age, race sex, sexuality or religion is not a bad thing. Look at Russia. A closed and corrupt society whose biggest Achilles heel is that it has always been a segregated and corrupt society. Didn't matter what kind of political or religious controls were in place, segregation of people is a way of life. Now you have lots of Americans that seem to think that its a good thing. Just look at history and you'll see that its not.

I personally don't get that invested to care. All Ana Bray is to me is the vendor to hand in Mars tokens to. Bungle can have their narrative / agenda, whatever it maybe, its their game. To me D2 is a video game: just point me in the right direction and let me wipe out space aliens, no more, no less.

Edited by Grizats: 7/12/2018 4:51:43 AMThere is one type of diversity that will not be tolerated, and that is the diversity of opinion.

Edited by SanctifiedN7: 7/12/2018 1:25:08 PMPreach it. Be careful though, with the cancerous leftists. They nibble at the bollocks.
-
Who. F8cking. Cares. It's a f*cking COMIC BOOK, not even part of the game.
-
Sheesh, seriously I feel like I'm watching the Tracer uproar all over again... Wait a minute.. Bungie and Blizzard are both on Battlenet ... I'm starting to see a C-O-N-spricay Honestly, I don't care she's a lesbian or a try - sexual. Too much attention is being placed on someone's sexuality and race in geek culture in general Here's a question would people be this upset if she was middle-aged, not so attractive and slightly over-weight? Are we truly saying a Ghost would never resurrect someone who is slightly out of shape and not so stunningly handsome or gorgeous. I mean honestly, do all heroes have to fit this type of stereotype?

Forced diversity isn't diversity at all.

The illiberal liberals...
-
“These liberals are trying to assassinate my character. And I can’t change their mind. I won’t change my mind, ‘cause I’m an American. I won’t change my mind on anything, regardless of the facts that are set out before me. I’m dug in, and I’ll never change.”

I'm more curious as to what the true gender of Bungie is...
because they have been -blam!-ing us all for a while now and I can't tell if I should be ok with it or not
-
I can't disagree with what you're saying here.
-
It’s the same reason many movies are criticized so heavily....nobody wants the forced SJW agenda, leave that bullcrap out of our entertainment
-
Why is sexual orientation even relevant if it has NOTHING to do with the story? If it’s not relevant don’t even make it a thing.
I wish it was as simple as this but it seems like everyone has an agenda anymore
-
I call it the "Woke Tax" It's in every form of entertainment media to the point of it being ludicrous in the extreme. We can no longer just have some pure escape-from-reality entertainment without having this SJW nonsense spread all over everything like a thin layer of poop tainting the entire experience. I was reading through the Warmind comic book last week just thinking it might have something interesting to reveal about Rasputin or the Hive or whatever. But then BLAMMO out of the blue is a lesbo kiss between Ana Gay and some black chick she met in the library. WTF. Really? This is what the writers chose to emphasize? Really? I stopped giving a damn about the story at that instant and just closed the browser window. FFS. I don't give two shits about Ana Gay's love life. I don't care who she wants to shag or if she likes to scissor. This garbage should not be in the damn story at all. There are so many epic and mind blowingly awesome story possibilities in this universe. But no, we can't get anything about that. Instead, we have to make sure everyone knows the writers at Bungie are Woke! It's just becoming absurd because it's happening to EVERYTHING. There is no escaping it, and that is why I call it a TAX. The WOKE TAX.

Can we start a campaign to replace LGBTQ+ with !H It's less typing and more future proof.
-
yes my exo sexually identifies as hive and it makes them the most special gaurdian in the universe
-
No straight characters in destiny? All the hive (although oryx is trans) Saladin and what's her face where hinted at Cayde had a wife
-
I agree with this. They arent making things better. They are letting this persons sexual preference define her as a person.
-
Does her sexual orientation matter to you so much that you literally had to make this big whiny post about it? It was shown in a comic that she had a wife. So? No one even really has read a D2 comic so they wouldn’t even know! I’m just curious why it matters so much to you.
-
I didn't know she was gay. Who are all the other characters that are LGBTQ+?
-
Edited by QUANTUM-CHUNGUS: 7/11/2018 11:45:21 PMTHE STORY IN THIS GAME IS DOG SHIT. WHO GIVES A F*CK WHETHER THE CHARACTERS ARE STRAIGHT OR GAY LMAO.
-
Those comics really focused far too much attention on her relationship with Kamrin, aside from that Ana's character doesn't mention it in game. I think there's about 3 characters that are confirmed as LGBTQ+ (Ana Bray, Devram and Eriana-3, who was only mentioned in the grimoire) IMO people get way too worked up about this, although I agree the comic could've been better by not focusing so much on the romance.
-
Edited by Cloney: 7/12/2018 12:26:40 PMHow would you even know she's gay if you didnt read the Webcomics? Nowhere in playing the game is it shown to be the focal point of the character. Frankly, the focal point of her character to me is the fact shes digging into her past; which is a big no-no for Guardians. Didn't even consider her being gay until all the neckbeards started whinging about it on the forums. Gamers at it again, crying about shit that doesn't matter.
-
Holy shit that nail it today’s entertainment industry is -blam!-ed lol
-
You think this game is bad? Go play Mass Effect Andromeda. Everybody in that game was -blam!-ing gay!! Every time you turn around somebody throwing a dick in your face. Honestly just sick of it. It just isn't realistic.
