It's because it's becoming comically predictable now. It's now apparently a "bad thing" to have an actual feminine sexy female character who is more female than male. The women have to be tough, hard, and literally man-like. It is stupid and silly. Just one example... Go watch the new Anthem gameplay reveal. During the leadup to the "strike" (don't remember what they are called in Anthem, too lazy to go look it up), listen the voice of the off-screen character. It's a female. Listen to the abyssal-deep bass depth of her voice. She is more manly (by far!) than the two male characters portrayed in the scene. Listen to how she (he) says "I like a challenge".
