Expect to see a transgender character in a AAA game somewhere soon.
It's sad really, because ppl think it is about inclusion, but it is about PR and ultimately sales.

But instead of that being the complaint, I repeatedly see "OmG iTs BeInG sHoVeD dOwN oUr ThRoAtS" and similar comments. Statements like that are far more suggestive of an aversion to LGBTQ+ than having an issue with cynical marketing tactics.
