Only problem is with what you said about BFV.
A female in a WW2 videogame is ok. It's not a history book, it's a game. Besides, if a female is included in the story as a member of a resistance (Norwegian, French, Austrian, Polish, etc.) or Russian, it wouldn't be inaccurate. As far as multiplayer goes, they have stated it has character customization. And my motto on that is the more the better. If I can make a female soldier and pretend she's from the Polish Underground State and fulfill my history nerd dreams of fighting in the Warsaw uprising in a videogame, I will.
No one complained about females or blacks in wolfenstein, and that's in the 60s. And any excuse of "well if your not historically accurate in WW2, that means your downplaying the holocaust" is false. Addition of females does not, in any way, equal holocaust denial
They way I see it if the game is good what he -blam!- does it matter.
