It's forced because it's supposed to be a guardian action comic.
I don't know for sure but I'm pretty sure a large portion of the community doesn't give a shit on who Ana Bray dates or is with.
If you watched the video in the post you might get it.
Example:
Non Forced Diversity : A movie that has a female/homosexual/other character that simply shows through actions that they are a strong person and never take time to say or acknowledge that they are female/homosexual/other and that can be just a strong as a straight white male, this movie also has a good plot that doesn't revolve around the person being "different". The audience simply notices that they are different through their actions, and it never has to be mentioned.
Forced Diversity : A movie that has a female/homosexual/other character that verbally says multiple times throughout the movie that they are different and even though that are different can be just a strong as a straight white man. Not to mention this movie also has terrible writing, and the character is horribly unlikeable because they are so bland. Think of Stars Wars: The Last Jedi.
In this comic most people want to see what makes Ana Bray powerful, and the full range of her abilities. I don't think ANYONE cares that she is homosexual to be honest. It's not important to the plot at all.
