Is not that i can't handle that society is changing, and believe me i have gay friends and they're wonderful people.
It's just this attitude of "we have to make every character transgender-y as possible so that ALL the people will like our product".
I see it in book, well, shite-tier book or novels which i guess nobody reads anyway.
In the search for the omnipresent strong female character that turns out in the end to be a Mary Sue, forgetting, blatantly, that Ellen Ripley from the Aliens franchise is a strong female protagonist without falling into the forced equality trope.
Videogames and movies too but the latter falls into the "strong indipendent women" argument, read: Star Wars: The Last Jedi, for example.
It's.. however more complicated than that and i am not that great with words, they're not my forte and it's a reason why i tend to shy away from forums and discussions board.
In no way i've meant to come off as a triggered person or a soyboy, i just wanted to say what i have to say without resorting to any kind of insults because that's not gonna lead us anywhere in my opinion.
