Any defense of this stance is a clear signal of your unwillingness to empathize. If you weren't born into the minority, it's impossible for you to ever have an understanding of what it's like to truly be in the minority - even if you once felt that you were in the minority that ONE TIME you were bullied. But you should still try. Instead of trying to defend someone in what is ultimately a useless forum, maybe you should go, "hmm... I wonder what that person went through to make them feel this way." The cycle of oppression starts when the majority is unwilling to empathize and tries to remain rigid with "how it's always been". The cycle does not start from the minority fighting back.
