Example: in the US, blacks commit more crime than whites. That DOES NOT tell us why, though. You'd have to look at things like income and where they live, etc. then you'd find they live in poorer neighborhoods and make less. Why? Because once upon a time, they where discriminated against. Slavery first, then Jim Crow, so on so forth. Once they are already doing bad economically, once that discrimination is gone, it's too late. Very hard for them to dig themselves out, so they turn to crime.
