I laughed out loud when I read about character revolving around homosexuality, as if there aren't plenty of examples in literature of heterosexually driven characters, from Rostand's Cyrano de Bergerac, loads of Shakespearean characters, all the way back to the ancient Greeks, literally tens of thousands of pages of great literature where characters are driven by their heterosexual desire. One might find it interesting to note that the character driven story is relatively new in history.
GMAFB. It's obvious a lot of people complaining about this kiss (actually, two kisses, yes, I've read it. I'm betting plenty of commenters haven't) don't read or haven't read anything of import since high school and definitely have little to no background in writing.
