The had this in D1, n almost EVERY strike had people AFK farming. They'd get loot for 3 hours of doing nothing.
LMAO! No not so because once the boss is killed the strike ends and they are returned to orbit, they aren't hanging out in a strike for 3 hours. I played D1 from day 1 and only rarely ... and I mean really rarely did players not actually play the strike.

 • Also in D1 they didn't break up strike teams, so you could stay with the same 2 randoms for hours on end. Made lots of friends that way

 • Dude, I used to do it myself when farming, I'd run 40-50 strikes a day, n when I used to go to pick my daughter up from school I'd AFK for an hour, come back and have 4-5 strikes completed. There was no 'idle kick' in strikes, at least in year 1 I honestly can't remember after. I only started doing it bcoz I used to see people do it nonstop. Infact maybe it was just yr1 bcoz they later added the mechanism that drags players forward. I did it bcoz I didn't get a Gally so after my weekly exotic drop chances I'd farm roc strikes. I could even forecast when I was due an exotic drop, it was every 83 strikes give or take 1 or 2. My first 11 exotics were Plan C. I actually ended up finding it quicker to create a new character, speed to max n then run the exotic drop checkpoints 2-3 times a week. I'd over 200 deleted characters in D1 n I'm already at 60+ in D2
