D2 reward system need improvement
So i have been grinding iron banner for hours on end to earn their boots. However I keep getting world gear which I can obtain at any time. So what is the point of having a event that happens once a month give out irrelevant gear.
And for people who are like rng. This is very specific events, that you earn specific tokens, to put toward earning rewards from this specific vender, to turn around and earn general crap is a basically a kick in the mouth and wasting everyone's time.

And is there any massive advantage to making an event Heroic!!! There isn't really much improvement in the rewards is there.

The next iron banner you can purchase armor items from Saladin they just added it in this patch

Agreed. Should be purchase able, like some of the weapons are. And perks for wearing and using Iron Banner specific weapons and armor and emblem and ship and sparrow. Perks like...twice the coins per round.

I have the same issue. Never got the boots for the dead orbit set. Last day I finally got a pair of boots, but an overland drop. Talk about p*$$ed. Really frustrating. I believe the gear is going to made so we can purchase instead. Not sure when. Hopefully by foresaken release.

You have to take into consideration that there is not an over abundance of loot in the pool for Iron Banner and so limiting it to only those items will mean seeing more repeats, which would be worst IMHO. Just like the Faction Rally, we were supposed to be able to buy gear directly from Saladin, but due to an issue that was discovered right before the start of Season 3, it was pulled. Bungie has said that being able to buy directly from these live event vendors will return but not until after the 1.2.3 Update coming tomorrow. My advice - save any tokens you have and wait for the last IB to return and buy the boots.
