We all expected from fan art and stuff for Nokris being this lamia-like hive creature with the hive knight helm or expecting him to be this albino knight with black, almost scorched skin.
But instead, we get a wingless version of Oryx? Really bungie?? It's not that god damn hard to create a new type of 3D model 😑
Edit:I made a stupid assumption thinking everyone had the same idea on the design...

You know he was a Son of Oryx?

However to make one, rig it for animation, create animations for it specifically, and then program all of that to work properly is. That's the simple version, which is assuming you have a solid plan that you aren't going to stray from. I'd like unique enemies, especially bosses, but I get it.

He was a king morph to show his similarities to Oryx, and that he had the potential and the framework to rule. Except he was born powerless and that all went to shit
-
The weird thing is I actually thought "wasn't Nokris supposed to be in this?" after finishing the campaign. I totally missed the fact that I killed Crota's brother in the preceeding mission. Doh!
-
I thought he was a fancy wizard and had no idea that it was Nokris til the mission was over.
-
They like using the same models to save money. Now take out your wallet & give your money to eververse.
-
I’m, he does have a completely new design. He is supposed to be slightly similar to Oryx because unlike Crota, Nokris is directly Oryx’s son, while Crota was made by ways I cannot remember, primarily hive magic. People will complain about anything, jeez.
-
If his brother was a knight I think it makes sense that he would be the opposite. Don’t be disappointed at something because of you false expectations
-
Nokris looks better when he's dead. -blam- that hive! So glad it's possible to one phase him under the right circumstances.
-
I mean he literally is the son of Oryx. You’d rather a son not look like their father?
-
Maybe oryx wasn’t the daddy after all?
-
Nokris was most likely designed with a King Morph to emphasis his similarities to Oryx. He really took after his father in a lot more ways than just physical.
-
Honestly, everything about Nokris was just bad
-
Im not too thrilled with how Nokris looked.. or how they portrayed him.. He kind of came off as the dorky other prince that no one cared about, because he was "weak in strength"... I honestly think bungie made another flop of a mistake here, making him a meager strike boss..(that was recycled story mission) I think they could have done alot better. I mean really... a Necromanitc Hive Prince! That sounds badass.. but then we get Nokris.. Iv seen him up close in the strike when he goes immune.. he folds his hands all politely and just kind of watches... Its pretty pathetic.
-
He just looks like a boring Oryx. Also I'm pretty sure he knows that he's a lot weaker than Oryx and Crota, SO WHY THE -blam!- DID HE THINK CHALLENGING THE GUARDIAN WHO KILLED BOTH OF THEM WAS A GOOD IDEA. I thought Nokris was supposed to be smart....
-
I really like how Nokris looks. Doesn't seem like he shares the same model with anything else from the game (Correct me if I am wrong) apart from similarities to Oryx (Like come on, Nokris is his son). Besides... he looks badass! I just wish that there was a bigger buildup to him in the Warmind campaign :S
-
If anything I like the fact that he looks much more like Oryx than Crota.
-
<Literally what? I expected him to be a pile of dust with "Oryx is my son" written on it somewhere.>
-
See, your problem here was using fanart to hype yourself for a character we've never seen.
-
His design I was fine with. His implementation in the story I was not. But that's my fault for expecting the dope as fxck grimoire and backstory to be done adequate justice when translated into the game. When I've not received evidence of this in any other gameplay.
-
Your first problem is using fan art to dictate your expectations.
-
I actually really like his design. He looks sinister and suave almost
We all expected from fan art
Prime example of what's wrong with this community.
-
You're really complaining that Bungie didn't base their character design on fanart?
-
No one expected Nokris to look like what you wanted
