I was so excited to get the Redrix's Claymore, and I was well on my slow and steady way to Glory. Yeah, it's not going to happen now. Not a chance. The new matchmaking makes Competitive way, way worse than Trials. I only end up playing super elite teams, and while they're probably overjoyed, everyone else is screwed. And not in a good way. In a no-I-won't-play-again way. I'm not an amazing Crucible player, but I'm not bad, either. I play almost every day, and I play with friends who are better than me. When I'm with them, I usually end up toward the bottom of the list. When I'm by myself, I'm almost always on top. I should have a fighting chance to get this weapon, and now I just don't. If the weapon wasn't at stake, then I'd be fine just saying "F Competitive, let them do their thing." Instead, I'm pissed about the game mode AND an unattainable reward. Make Trials for try-hards. Make Competitive for normal people who just want to compete. I guess I'll go back to working on my Quickplay for that sweet, sweet ghost (groan).
