Ever since gambit was announced and the invading feature was showcased, I’ve been so hyped to play forsaken and the new gambit game mode. Now that gambit is live for a bit I’ve been able to play a lot of the game mode and every time I get the chance to invade it just feels exhilarating. It reminds me of when I play soulsborne games and invade another persons world. It’s just fun. When I play dark souls or blood borne one of my favorite things to do in those games is invade/be invaded by other people.
So what I’m getting at here is that I think Bungie should implement an invading feature in the normal Pve world. Before anyone says why don’t you just go into crucible let me explain. I like crucible, I would say I’m fairly good too but it gets boring for me. I go in a match on a fairly small map, go around and kill a bunch of guys and also get killed by a bunch of guys. With invasions I could be casually in a patrol on Nessus doing a flashpoint or chilling out when Bam! out of nowhere I get a notification that I’m being invaded by a rogue/dark guardian. What will I do, will I hide somewhere and lure him into a trap or stand my ground and duel with the invader. He might even be friendly and show me a secret or two I’ve never seen before, or will he turn on me and lead me to a trap with a mini boss waiting around a corner. You never know what might happen.
To those of you that think this is a dumb idea or if you’ve never experienced invading or being invaded I suggest you pick up dark souls or blood borne and give it a chance. Try invading people or wait to be invaded and have fun and interesting experiences with other people. Then head back onto Destiny 2 and you’ll realize how cool it would be to have invading apart of destiny. That’s all I’ve got but I hope the guys over at bungie see this and consider it.

Hopefully not. Not unless I can disable invasions and still play pve with my friends. People shouldn’t have to deal with pvp unless they want to. That’s why the function works in gambit well and it works in the dark zone in the division well. It also works in dark souls well because you can play the game offline and not have to deal with it. I would be very unhappy with Bungie if they forced that into my pve part of the game. Just my opinion.
