So I already made a post about old armor and weapons and what to do with them since forsaken has come out and made them obsolete so to speak, the armor much more so than the weapons, which can be found [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/248357713?sort=0&page=0t]HERE[/url]. But I had a few new ideas on how this could work and what Bungie could do to make something work for them and us as players going forward from the launch of forsaken. I got the idea because they had made the new vanguard armor based on a remodel of the mercury armor set for each class, and so i thought, "they could do this for a lot of armors." So I think it would be really cool if they make a new year two variant of all planet models and any other armor they can where it has similarities, but small changes here and there. Then for people like myself, they can introduce a series of ornaments for each armor to look like their year one counterpart. So for example there would be the new "Gensym Paladin" armor variant on Io that has some changes to the helmet, chest, arm, legs, etc. and it is compatible with the ornament to make each part look like the "Gensym Knight" Armor series already on Io. There could even be an exchange of sorts with the vendors much like the crucible armor ornaments where accomplishing standing and doing bounties and activities on the planet you can access the ornaments. This would also set up all old armor options to be compatible with new armors added in the future as each location can keep updating with new ornaments for these armors, much like crucible/iron banner. I think this method could save a lot of time for the developers by reusing and altering existing assets, and would allow legendary armor variation to extend toward the eververse armors, raid armors, and even blue and green armors. They could take parts of one set and combine them with another set part, make changes to them such as adding or removing details (shoulder pads, pouches, accessories, etc.) and make all new feeling stuff. Destiny and Destiny 2 are full of old content ready to be reused in new and exciting ways. Anyway that's just my thoughts.
