At the release of Destiny 2: Forsaken, Scout Rifle damage was reduced for PvE activities. This was further impacted by an issue where Explosive Rounds were negatively effecting damage, which was addressed in a recent hotfix.
To further address the player feedback, we are planning to increase Scout Rifle damage by 15% in a future patch.
Stay tuned for updates.

And yet you still haven't fixed Sleeper in Gambit. Try doing one thing at a time. Multitasking is not something Bungie does

Edited by jamt1968: 9/26/2018 6:42:40 PMI thought my Nameless Midnight seemed a bit..............well Nameless. Looking forward to the Buff! Thx! Edit: I will say though I have enjoyed quite a few of the new weapons. Especially my spitfire Misfit. Thats a fun gun.

Edited by Capitanterrific: 9/26/2018 9:05:26 PMTalking about reflection, tuning and nerfing the whole Destiny world! Maybe take a look a the Jade Rabbit! The sandbox people really nerf that exotic to a green level weapon!

How much longer is it going to take? I’ve been ready to pull out my scouts for weeks.
-
It seems Destiny grounding itself in it’s MMO inspirations is working out. Keep up the good work.

its sad as i am still constantly hearing bad comments and chirping about the game.imo we asked for a dlc we could get behind and enjoy.curse of osiris was a huge letdown however warmind was a step in the right direction and forsaken has taken the ball and smashed it out of the park.we wanted random rolls,a GRIND,and lots of content, you at bungie have more than delivered that with this dlc.so i will say on behalf of the positive fanbase.great job bungie.

Edited by nmendez79: 9/23/2018 8:12:32 PMI will say you guys over at Bungie are really good at ignoring the real issues inherent with this game (and the series as a whole), such as low exotic drop rates, throttled level progression, lack of content at launch, lack of content for expansions, no matchmaking (even for world activities), and your collective inability to reasonably respond to these issues (like, for example, reducing the exotic drop rate to virtually zero in order to cater to the 10 gambling addicts who want to wait five years before getting a drop). I don’t get why these are still “things.” And for the idiots, “game dev is too hard” isn’t an excuse. Wake the -blam!- up. You purchased access to a thing, only to be denied the thing through a gambling mechanism. Think about that when you say “I like the exotic drop rate because it now takes me a year to get the super duper power gun that goes boom.” Back to Bungie, the player base consistently revolts because you are either unwilling or unable to respond to player feedback in a measured and reasonable fashion. Start the base game with more base content (more raids, more explorable areas, more strikes, and a dedicated horde mode at launch), and people won’t complain as much about level progression (at least until they’re done with the content, which would take longer than a damn day to complete). We need only see The Elder Scrolls Online (and its console version) as proof that more content at launch is better. Add optional matchmaking for all activities, and let the player base deal with whatever consequences that ensue (I’m still not convinced that LFG is any better, to be honest). Finally, just tweak the -blam!-ing drop rate for exotics and things that make you more powerful and raid-ready. PEOPLE WILL LEAVE YOUR GAME YET AGAIN IF YOU MAKE THE BEST CONTENT INACCESSIBLE FOR A LONG TIME. Why is this still a thing? These are things people reiterate to you time and time and time again. We sound like broken records. Here’s some food for thought: It’s a seller’s market when it comes to the Destiny franchise. There really is no other game like it out there right now. Congratulations! I cannot speak for anyone else, but I always come back because I like playing good FPS’s and I like to play online with other people from time to time. Cool-working guns are a bonus. You’ve made a good game, at least when it comes to making a solid coop shooter with interesting weapons and mechanics (the story hurts my brain, though). What do you think will happen once another publisher makes a similar game, learning from your mistakes in the meanwhile while offering more launch content and a better in-game economy that is player-friendly? A publisher without your baggage and track record for screwing over the player base through bad micro-transactions and progression throttling? I, for one, will not be coming back to this game. I will jump ship and not look back. You may think it unlikely, but there will come a point when a viable competitor will rise and possibly surpass you by offering a better games-as-a-service coop, online experience. Bungie’s decision to ship a minimum viable product will come back to bite Bungie in the ass. Edit: I just wanted to thank all who meaningfully responded to this response. As I wrote down below, I’ve uninstalled the game. As a result, I won’t be responding to any more comments in the near future. Happy hunting, Guardians! :o)

Lol @ nerfing scout rifles. Although i know why it was done...
-
Mind un-nerfing raiden flux. Please and thanks
At least mention that on patch notes somewhere
-
Why in the hell would you ever think reducing scout damage in pve was acceptable? Sheer stupidity.
-
I know Distant Relation has been good to me in PvE.
-
I never picked up on any difference really.
-
Yes, I eat ass.
-
Stupid question but is it still possible to get nightfall rewards when that particular nightfall isn't available for this week?
-
You mean, 0,0015%?!
-
Oh fantastic I can’t wait for the mida meta to -blam!-ing return, NOT
-
Just to affirm, you’re increasing Scout Rifle damage by 15% exclusively in PvE- right? You kind of mention PvE in the first excerpt, but you didn’t really make it clear enough.
DAILY REMINDER TO BUFF SCOUT BY 30% NOT JUST BY 15%
-
Why were they nerfed in PvE? They were fine the way they were in my opinion, seems like most people agree..
-
So, next September! I'll pencil you in!
-
Finally. I like scouts but they have seemed so weak. Usually like to run an auto rifle and scout. But they been so weak been running pulse rifles.
-
Lol dang here I am enjoying my scouts and you telling me it’s gonna get better!?!?!? -blam!- yeah 😀
-
Question: I noticed you said "for PVE activities". Does this mean its possible to buff/nerf/tune things for just PVE or just PVP? I always thought it was the opposite.
-
When is reset happening ?
-
I don't recall reading anything about a nerf to scout rifles before this post. Is this what you mean by being more transparent?
