At the release of Destiny 2: Forsaken, Scout Rifle damage was reduced for PvE activities. This was further impacted by an issue where Explosive Rounds were negatively effecting damage, which was addressed in a recent hotfix.
To further address the player feedback, we are planning to increase Scout Rifle damage by 15% in a future patch.
Stay tuned for updates.

Oh bungie, it amazes me how you like to screw this game. Kinda sad actually.
-
To quote Shaxx, This is amazing!

I remember in D1 with scout rifles, in The taken king at 365 light you were getting like 9k+ precision on a knight (for example) usually took like 2 shots to kill, now scout rifles on enemies in general is like 1200 precision and takes a butt load of bullets to kill anything (apart from dregs etc) the damage numbers in general are so much lower now than in D1 and takes a lot more to kill enemies in general. One thing I can’t get used to in D2 lol

Yet another dirty thing you guys did without telling anyone. Kind of how you guys hid the last 3 seeds of light behind the raid and didn’t tell anyone; then once streamers found it competing for worlds first you guys try to cover your asses by saying it’s not the only way to get them, when in fact it’s the only way because there still isn’t any other way to get them. You guys are disgusting.
-
Awsome!

Edited by TheShadow-cali: 9/24/2018 1:26:26 PMI can see the power level advantage in one event when it comes to PvP, but you guys put it in all the events that have to do with anything with PvP. I've seen some pretty dumb decisions this company has done in this game, but this tops the cake when it comes PvP. Holy Cow I wish the key devs that use to work for Bungie were still working there... Edit: I wonder what else this company has down they won't say anything about.

A paltry 15% is not enough. Let them shiny at 25% (re)buff of the 30% you mistakenly took from them so they can become a valid counter to Sleeper. Let people play their way in PvE without you guys trying to force variety. Buff Sidearms in PvE if you want people to use them more often.

sure ! another silent nerf to promote other weapons ! when people ask me about Destiny I just tell them it's by Bungie and all they do is silent nefs to experience and weapons Also Edge Transit is garbage !
-
Praise Deus! Finally! My original favorite weapon type won't need to be immediately sharded anymore. Please give a little extra love to 150rpm scouts Or atleast tweak them with a bigger base handling and stability stat. There is so very little variety in 150's. their stats are either pretty bad or absolutely horrible. Please reinstate the legacy of the Badger CCL. Make them a viable option players are going to want to use as much as bows and hand-cannons .

Gambit weapons aren’t dismantling into any materials.
-
Thanks 👍🏻
-
Scoutrifles, the main gun of the masses in pve got completely destroyed to the point, people don't even look at them anymore and there all in the Vault. Sorry I have to say this but the Balancing team already sucked in Destiny 1 and have always sucked untill this very day!
-
Bungie, if you would stop trying to hide everything and just give us raw numbers in patch notes like every other sensible online game does you wouldnt be recieving the hate that you are for hiding so many things. Ive said it before, look at how FFXIV does it in thier patch notes. They are transparent with every small detail. Unless you start doing that, you will continue to draw hate.

Edited by Razgriz1972: 9/24/2018 10:44:34 AMIts great that you are addressing this but while you are at it please address the drop rate of scout rifles. Out of all the time i have played forsaken i have had 4.
-
Edited by Newlord devix: 9/24/2018 10:01:31 AMSeriously. Nerfs shouldn’t happen in pve
-
You guys need to do a lot more than 15% I went and shot a boss with my vouchsafe and got 807 damage per bullet to the head, I then used my bygones and got 607 per bullet to the head that's 1,821 damage per burst, why would I use a scout rifle if I can use a pulse and have just as many trigger pulls but do over double the damage? You guys seriously need to double the amount of damage scout rifles do, then they would be a viable option again like they were in destiny 1.
-
15%? Why not 25% and a 20% stability boost across the board?
-
No wonder scout rifles were almost hardly ever used now. Smh.
-
Why nerf them in the first place? I don't remember anyone saying scout rifles were overpowered in pve.
-
Screw 15%! Thats not gonna give them back their punch. Make it the full 30% or put it to 20 or 25%. To all the people that are saying "mannan, miss, and nameless dominated y1", well that is Bungie's fault for choosing fixed rolls not making anywhere near enough interesting and powerful weapons to compensate.
-
make sure you adjust 30% not just a measly 15%
-
Can you please explain the reasoning behind the secret 30%nerf? I thoguht that you were done nerfing stuff according to your previous communication.
-
So you respond in record time to a few people whining about ONE weapon in ONE game mode, but you pre-emptively released the DLC with a known issue that affects MULTIPLE WEAPONS, and an infusion economy that is counter intuitive to the natural in-game economy flow. GG.
-
Good to hear
-
You're not supposed to be nerfing anything anyways! Shame on you :)

What are scout rifles?
