Why nerf it in the first place?? Its PVE for god's sake let us feel like the powerful guardians that we are supposed to be. I understand in crucible , But geez not in pve. For the love of all things SEPARATE PVP FROM PVE ALREADY!!!!! Sooo many updates and new content , and still have to nerf weapons and armor in pve because they're too strong in pvp.

Dmg literally says in the post that the damage was reduced in pve activities. Try reading for once. Also, I believe the nerf was in place so that you couldn't just steamroll through pve activities using Scouts.
-
steamroll with scout ? Never seen it before !
-
It was just a thought. Scouts have always been powerful and allow you to easily take out ads while not having to put yourself in close range.
-
... I steam roll though all the content with the fighting lion like a cake walk. The thing is incredibly OP in PvE. Bows have been pretty much a casual stroll also. Doesn't mean I'd N**f any of it. If I get a good scout I'd probably use it but so far they feel desperately underwhelming. I can use the Tigerspite with a crap roll to twice the effect of a good scout it seems right now and the Tigerspit is good but its not really that amazing.
-
If you “READ” my post it was 100% complaint about the PVE damage nerf. So the one not reading was you. Everyone else is complaining about the scout rifle nerf. I can assume you’re happy with it though.
-
The part I'm talking about is you wanting pvp and pve to be separate, in which Dmg says in the post that scout rifle damage was reduced for pve activities. How hard is it to understand?
-
You Should have mentioned you were talking about the separation of game modes. My point in saying separate pvp and pve is due to the fact that everyone on here and since the D1 days is that Bungie mostly always nerf weapons and armor due to being overpowered in pvp. I could care less what reason “DMG” says it was for. The one that doesn’t understand is you bud. It’s ok. This forum is for players to talk about the game and discuss it. Not to find people that disagree with the bungietards and bash them on posts they make.
-
Ok, in Dmg's post, the one you are replying to, says scout rifles were nerfed in PVE ONLY. You replied to the post and said to separate pve and pvp, even though the scour rifle damage was nerfed for PVE ONLY. You're the one who doesn't understand, cleary as it doesn't even look like you read the post you're replying to.
-
I can clearly see that DMG said it was pve only. I understand what you’re saying. But if you do research they mostly always nerf things all across the game because of pvp. Ask others that have been around since day one. I get your point tho. My point is clear. No nerf should have EVER happened in PVE since enemies power scale up with our power. There has not been any game breaking instance in pve that needed a scout rifle nerf. Bungie has always nerfed things and then brought them back to what they were in “future” patches or dlcs. Ask anyone that has played the game since the release of destiny 1.
-
The nerf obviously wasn't because of pvp when it WAS FOR PVE ONLY. I know the D1 track record because I played it, but the Scout rifle nerf was purely for pve.
-
And my point was that there was no need to nerf the weapon type at all. No game breaking reason to nerf it and nobody asked for it. My point on the pvp side of it it’s because they always did it because of pvp in the past. But the main point remains and which EVERYONE else has liked or agreed with me still stands. My point was understood and agreed on and liked and you still keep on saying that they said it was pve only. I can clearly read it was said by DMG that it was for pve only but I was bringing up a valid truth on their nerfing in the past. Geez. I’m done.
-
In your post you say, in all caps, SEPARATE PVE FROM PVP ALREADY. When In fact, that was the case. You weren’t bringing up a valid truth when you thought the scout rifle nerf was for both pve and pvp, when it was just for pve. Your statement was wrong yet you keep acting like you said something else.
-
I never thought the nerf was for both modes asshole. I clearly made a -blam!-ing statement on things they have done in the past. Can you -blam!-ing get the point like EVERYONE ELSE HAS. DAMN TROLL!!!
-
Obviously you did when you say separate pve from pvp already.
-
Everyone knows the real reason why they nerf weapons. Do you actually believe what they said and the reasons on why they did it? Where have you been since D1 ? Everyone else knew exactly what I meant and why I said it. You’re a damn troll. You knew exactly what I meant just like everyone else did. You’re probably the type to believe every word that the bungietards say. They have been lying to the community about all sorts of things. Do your research. Stop trolling.
-
D1 was D1, this is D2. They nerfed scouts for pve, that’s why. I’m not trying to troll but you can keep saying that. Yes, I played D1 and know the track record, but the past is the past.
-
As a matter of fact, you should see less Mida Multitool in Crucible right now because of that nerf due to PvP.
-
What Mida nerf? I never recall seeing Mida being nerfed for pvp.
-
15% nerf on scout in general , affected Mida
-
When was it?
-
Edited by Galaxyfarer: 9/24/2018 5:19:44 PM
Scout Rifle Damage At the release of Destiny 2: Forsaken, Scout Rifle damage was reduced for PvE activities. This was further impacted by an issue where Explosive Rounds were negatively effecting damage, which was addressed in a recent hotfix. To further address the player feedback, we are planning to increase Scout Rifle damage by 15% in a future patch. Stay tuned for updates.
I bet that this 15% is affected PvP as well since there were no way to separate PvE and PvP.
-
Exactly
-
Ok, the post you quoted doesn’t say that scout’s were nerfed by 15%
-
Just because they don’t say it doesn’t mean that it isn’t so. Bungie has been doing this for years. There is no way to separate pvp with pve. This has been one of the biggest gripes the community has with bungie.
-
How do you know that there isn’t any way? Light levels aren’t enabled in regular pvp, yet they are in pve.
