So after finally spawning the servitor this happened.
Long story short, we spawned our servitor. The other team knew so they backed out and sent me the message above.
Played many many games after that one and no luck.
Edit:- I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.
Update:- We just killed the boss and the quest dropped. I've almost stopped playing Gambit after what happened to me with these guys. Bungie really should look into this so it doesn't happen to anyone else.
Edit:- Alot of people are angry because I shared this. Believe me you wouldn't be so angry if this situation happened to you. If you ignore this, soon enough it will become a problem and people will talk about it in the forums. Also it might've happened to people who don't have access to b.net and in all seriousness ingame reporting does nothing.

i'll chime in and say their message to you was childish. I will say that's gambit though, they can easily come over and blow you up. However, I do wish (I already have it) the boss would spawn 5% more frequently. I want it to be rare, i want you to flip out when you see it. No I don't want everyone to have it after 1 weekend. If you are grinding for this, please stop hurting yourself. It's a chance. Maybe something like if you play 50 gambit games, you should have seen him about 5 times roughly. So that would actually make it a 10% chance. Rare enough for me.

That sucks man. I want to say it’s hard to believe there are assholes like that out there in the world but sadly it does not surprise me anymore. I just hate how people find ways to make things that are already a grind toxic for others. I’m glad you finally got it done though.

Bungie, this just proves how unpractical this quest is. You nerfed the Ace of Spades so i fully am now expecting the same for this. I never like nerfs but the design of this quest is just plain dumb and open to so much exploit. There is also a meta going round now with a 5th person from the clan queueng and if on the opposing team, they throw the game. I think its commendable that Bungie thought of the human race in such regard, but we are not there yet. The human race will do anything to get a one up over their peers (obviously doesnt apply to all but more a generalisation) and as such maybe in 100 years we will be ready for such a quest. Right now, this quest is totally flawed and with situations like i said and the one mentioned above, it really is not worth the effort to grind this. @OP i commend your dedication, i would have stopped playing the whole game entirely for quite some time if this happened to me. thats soul crushing. @Everyone, please up vote this so Bungie is aware of the ongoings and @OP, i highly recommend you post this on Reddit as well in the same manner for more exposure to force Bungies hand Congrats on getting the win non the less though :)

I play 3 games of gambit a week. That's all I can take of the game mode. It was fun at the start, but the mode is in a awful state with all the lame quests attached to it, lack of variety and quitting culture when things don't go your way. Bungie response will be the usual, working as intended

Some people that have it think this is really funny....I think if this happens we should get the quest by default...

1 Replyyup, it just happened to me, the malfeasance prime evil showed up, we started unloading on him, and the other team quit out. This is the Destiny community, a bunch of A$$HOLES and it has only gotten worse over the last 4 yours... Don't get me wrong, there are good people who play Destiny, i see it every time i paly, but it seems they are way outnumbered with the trash that also plays.

2 RepliesI invaded another team when they spawned the primevil and after I saw it was the Servitor I stopped and didnt try and kill them or anything, just waited out the timer so they could focus on getting the kill.
