So after finally spawning the servitor this happened.
Long story short, we spawned our servitor. The other team knew so they backed out and sent me the message above.
Played many many games after that one and no luck.
Edit:- I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.
Update:- We just killed the boss and the quest dropped. I've almost stopped playing Gambit after what happened to me with these guys. Bungie really should look into this so it doesn't happen to anyone else.
Edit:- Alot of people are angry because I shared this. Believe me you wouldn't be so angry if this situation happened to you. If you ignore this, soon enough it will become a problem and people will talk about it in the forums. Also it might've happened to people who don't have access to b.net and in all seriousness ingame reporting does nothing.

You should of gotten the quest automatically if you manage to spawn the meatball AND the opposing team quit. Doesn't matter if you killed it or not. That's just wrong dude and I hope Bungie can make a solution about this sooner rather than later.

idk if it's always this way but when I had the servitor, so did the enemy team and we melted our boss and I felt kinda bad for other team. Especially since I had already gotten the quest. I just killed it for my teammates

Good thing I can tell if there is a 4 stack during matchmaking menu. If you see the number of players instantly go from 1 to 5. There is a 4 stack and you can back out quickly before the game sends you in. Requeue and start matchmaking again while observing the number of players being searched. If the game forces me in vs a 4 stack I am switching characters to back out. I don't give a fk anymore.

this is why they should stop putting certain exotics in pvp matches because this community is toxic as anything out there and will do anything to screw with someone at least with aos there wasnt some rare as all hell mob thats supposed to spawn that can be circumvented by the other team just abandoning the match

<Whatever rarity the Meatball spawns should be buffed. I unironically believe that it should be at the same spawn rate as any other primeval if not slightly lower. SLIGHTLY. The quest in of itself is grindy enough as it is. That being said, leave the quest after obtaining it as it is.>
