Happened to me on PC we spawned it took me over 50 games to get it the other team left before we could kill it so we didn't get the quest.
Some people that have it think this is really funny....I think if this happens we should get the quest by default...

I wonder how boring a persons life must be if leaving a Gambit match because the enemy team got the meatball is considered "funny." Or that person is leaving that Gambit match to cause a domino effect because the enemy team got the meatball and he/she wants the enemy team to remain Malfeasance-less so that person can rub their loss in there faces or because of jealousy; like if he can't have that gun, then the enemy team can't.

They had the quest and was doing the next steps so didn't need the boss, its becoming a common thing as more people are reporting this happening to them.
