Please just take masterwork cores away from infusion!

As the title says! No one asked for this and it does not make sense! Please remove it, and add exotic shards for exotic infusion instead or something! Just take it out! No one agrees with you Bungie if you are still going to keep them! [spoiler]edit: If its true that Bungie are going to still have them in the game and just rename them, then whats the point? I would prefer if they don't exist, and I for one don't think it adds "meaniful infusion", but instead nothing but extra work, so they should instead add exotic shards to infuse exotics back if you want "meaniful infusion".[/spoiler]

  • Loot is just sooo boring in this game now. I get the same 5-10 items over and over and over and over. I enjoy watching someone stream Ultimate Chicken Horse more than playing D2 currently. So sad. So boring. The gameplay is the only reason I log in. The loot/reward system is abhorrent.

      D2: Time Wasting Simulator - old

      I logged in today only to realize I didn't have enough mw cores to level up my favorite weapons and gear so I logged out. Making spider's charge rate double each time you buy a core is -blam!-ing stupid.

      • Kinda wish they would add back in strange coins again, it was an awesome way to integrate xur into the game and a method of getting exotics, i miss that system.

          • I do agree that making them part of the infusion cost was a mistake. They never should have done it. However, they did. And the [i]real[/i] problem with this is that it makes “just taking them away” something that is not as small a change as people want it to be. I very much doubt that they are going to implement a major change that would fundamentally shift the infusion and materials economy in some small upcoming patch. If they were to make such a. complete change, it would probably happen at some point early next year. As I can’t see it taking less than a couple of months to implement properly. And we [i]really[/i] don’t want them pulling the whole “drop change with potential problems just before the Christmas vacation” like las year again. Right?

            • It's almost impossible to have a favorite weapon or find skill with a particular loadout. As soon as you level, you either have to spend cores you don't have, or you have to move on to some random roll trash weapon. And the random exotic drops mean that if you don't infuse your favorite exotics, you may never get a better levelled version ever again. I pulled a weapon from my collection and it was more than 20 points lower than my max level. It's incredibly frustrating.

              • They are too lazy and afraid to admit it - They are just going to change the name of Masterwork Cores to "Bugger All" Cores because they "forgot" to change the name - It does nothing for the horrible drop rates for any cores in general. Now you'll get to add more grind to your grind (multiply the grind) as they add them to a rare few bounties. They will still gate how many you can reliably get in a day to artificially slow player progression. Oooo - I know, Tess will sell them during the Festival of the Cost!
