I'll never understand it? No matter how bad life is death is way worse.
On what are you basing that?

That life is better than death, that's a no brainier. When your dead, your dead. That's it.
That life is better than death, that's a no brainier. When your dead, your dead. That's it.
So what objectively makes life better than death? As living humans of course the majority of us want to live, but clearly it isn't the case for everyone unfortunately, so it then becomes subjective. If you observed someone who was terminally ill and in extreme pain because of it and their time was limited, do you think they would share your view that life is better than death? For them? Or someone who has become incapable of independence due to a crippling disease or injury, depending on the mentality of the individual, do you think everyone in that unfortunate condition would see it the way you do? I mean we wouldn't have euthanasia if everyone thought life was more beneficial than death. Just to make clear this isn't some sort of attack at all, I am sorry to hear that Joshua has passed away, I just wanted to point out that it isn't as simple to every individual, that life is always better than death, because for some it isn't.

It can be almost impossible to understand the struggle someone with mental illness faces. Most mental illnesses arent rational, and for some they can be unbearable.

In a way, I'm glad I'll never understand it. I prefer my method of when you fall get back up and let it go.
