Xur Fated Engram Not Dropping Exotics You Do Not Own
When you purchase a Fated Engram from Xur, isn't it supposed to give you an exotic you do not own? I just bought one from him and I ended up with Lucky Pants on my Hunter.
I already had that exotic owned ages ago...Can anything be done, or are we just SOL on this if you happen to get an exotic item you already have in your collection?

2 RepliesI’ll assume you don’t know how Fated Engrams work and explain, instead of calling you names and telling you this is common knowledge. This is my one good deed of the day... Fated Engrams will drop a Year 1 exotic (no Forsaken exotics) you don’t already have. If you have all the exotics (again, no Forsaken exotics) he will drop a Year 1 duplicate. Hope this clears things up.

Pretty sure awhile back Bungie pubished in a TWaB that xur’s fated engram only drops Y1 exotics.

3 RepliesDo you already have all the old exotics? If so that could be the reason you’re getting duplicates from the fated engrams. Also unfortunately I don’t think there is anything you can do to reverse that.
