To Be a Guardian (Part 1) (FanFiction)

Thank you for your time.
The following is from the journal of the Warlock Apheyra. She has yet to let anyone, even her Ghost, read it. ************************************************************************************* (Dates Unknown, During The “Age of Triumphs” celebration.) ~ Biocatarus is an asshole. Today he “taught” me how to use the Light to extend my jumps, if you could even call it teaching. You’d think, after telling me that I can jump multiple times in the air, that he would let my practice a few times before trying anything, but no! He threw me off the F-cking Tower! I could have died! What the hell was he thinking, that like a bird I’d just know what to do? Bastard only watched as I grabbed onto a pipe and climbed my way all the back up. He just stared when I reached solid ground, didn’t say a thing! The judgemental tard pissed me off so much that I ran over and tried to push him off the edge. Lucky me that he wasn’t expecting a sudden burst of Light from my hands! (which I totally expected, I don’t care what you think.) The Solar winds sent him flying! He tried to float his way back, like some sort of angelic grizzly bear, but he fell just before he could reach the railings. A moment later his Ghost flew next to me and put his sorry ass on the pavement. I was expecting some kind of retaliation, but instead he was... laughing. I’d never seen him laugh before. It was strange, like for a single moment there was a soul inside that metal body. He stopped chuckling, of course, yet that memory’s still in my head. He got all serious after that, and I went back to learning how to fly. I’m still bad at it, and that’s the only bit of admittance you’ll get from me! (If you even find this journal, which I doubt lughead!) At least he didn’t throw me off the Tower again. ~ BC says Ceris has been a bad role model. So what if I agree with her passion for explosives? Yeah, today I learned how to make grenades from nothing but my will and the Light. Unfortunately I’m not allowed to toss one at the Cryptarch, but I’ll find a way to get back at him for that Triple-tap shotgun. Might toss it into a Vex gate, because if their tech can’t make that garbage worthwhile, nothing can. But to do that, I’d have to leave the Tower, and BC won’t let me yet. Say’s I’m not ready to go out on my own, and to be fair, I’m not. Besides the fact that I still haven't mastered my abilities, experiencing the Light has made me somewhat childish. In my defense, it is a wonderful sensation to have power at your fingertips, and it’s hard for me to imagine living without it. I suppose the other me had similar feelings, but probably of envy instead of joy. Wish the Traveller favored the living along with the dead. I’m sure there’s got to be a reason behind that choice, right? Anyway, I’m trying to take what BC’s been teaching to heart. And you know what? I think he’s finally starting to care again. Perhaps I’m just as much of a teacher as he is. If you do read this (assuming you’re BC), then I want you to know I’m thankful, for everything. I just hope that someday I’ll be able to say the words to you myself. Keep your chin up and keep moving forward, for there are always better days ahead. ~Apheyra Next Entry: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/249743450?sort=0&page=0 Lore Book: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/249535151?sort=0&page=0

 • [There's is hope yet...]-[Like a fire it will only grow with oxygen] Another great one, BC! No complaints, I would tell you if I had any. As always, you have my time.
