Stop With The Izanami Threads (RANT)
Seriously. It’s Japanese folklore that far predates the third Reich.
1.) Izanami’s full name is “Izanami no mikoto” (she who invites).
- if you do your backwards spelling magic now your little tantrum makes zero sense.
2.) No. It could not have been a differed “word”. The story of Izanami and Izanagi is in regards to the creation of Japan. Izanami is the Japanese goddess of creation and death. This ties very nicely into a Japanese forge which creates weapons.
3.) By sundering the name of a Japanese goddess with the third Reich YOU are doing FAR MORE than Bungie EVER could to offend people.
4.) By making light of an event so tragic that it shaped the direction of humanity YOU are utterly misguided and in a severe need of growing up.

As someone who has studied and loves Japanese history, art, and culture, I truly enjoyed your post. Well, done, DredgenRaeve. I will add that I lost most of my family in the Holocaust, and I find the casual use of the atrocities of the Na zis highly offensive. If someone wants to get a true understanding of the pain we feel as survivors who lost family to Hitler, I will share this personal story with you. In Israel, there is a museum called Yad Vashem, which is Israel's memorial to the vistims of the Holocaust. In Yad Vashem, there exists the Hall of Names, which commemorates the more than three million Jewish souls who have been identified out of the six million who perished at the hands of Hitler. The is also an online database that allows you to look up a family name, called THE CENTRAL DATABASE OF SHOAH VICTIMS' NAMES It can be found here: https://yvng.yadvashem.org/ Here is my story. Go to the url, enter my last name, which is Bachner, and say a prayer for the almost 300 Bachner's killed by the na zis. The holocaust was real. It killed half of the Jewish people alive on the good earth. It is not a joking matter. The Holocaust must serve as an eternal reminder of what can happen when evil is appeased and ignored.
