Yes it’s dumb. And it’s cheap. It certainly isn’t something the playerbase figured they were buying. Who the f&$? Would pay to shoot images and work out puzzles?
This isn’t content. It’s ridiculous.

Videogames are literally pixels LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Pixels! Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!! LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
RELAX BRO

no need to soil you’re diaper
It is content and of course we didn't know we were paying for this and that doesn't happen. And a lot of people like puzzles. Majority of the playerbase has made it clear they either like or just dont mind that there are puzzles. Thats why Bungie keeps making puzzles.
-
Yeah all of us put down our crossword puzzles right before reset and expected to have to figure out what has ended up being a humdinger of a puzzle to play the new forge. The point is that the community does like some mystery and puzzle like content, a la Outbreak Prime. But nobody really wants to sit and wait for someone, anyone, to figure out a huge mystery in order to actually play the new stuff.

Get smart and figure it out. Idiot

Wow you must think you're cool

I was obviously trolling

Well for some odd reason a decent ammount of players keep doing the whole shoot animal figures or whatever. Platform jumping, and ball throwing. I think the whole mechanics that have plagued D2 are dumb at best. But thats me i guess. I rather shoot. Use tactics, use my guns effectively, abilities, etc. But in reality what makes pve content hard is dumb vocal mechanics. Calling a bird or a fish. Falling down a whole, being spotted by a space dog. Yup. Hardcore pve.

No this is awesome. Then again, I'm not a cod kid

What are you doing here then? Get out there and unlock that forge.

I'm at work? What? You actually wrote that and thought it was an witty retort??????

You're still posting here? Tick tock, time is wasting.

The thing about destiny content is that , in the pve side at least, pretty much everything is silly mechanics such as jumping, grabbing balls, throwing balls, calling a bird or fish sign.
-
Maybe they are silly but there is still a large amount of players that can't figure it out. Last week's blind well proves it. 4 people shooting an immune shield until my friend and I passed balls back a forth to drop the shield.
-
Yes but one thing is figuring out something and another is a mechanic being silly or childish. Now that you guys figured it out. You just do it again and again. Grab and toss balls. I personally rather have some sort of mechanic more related to shooting than gimnastics. Like having to shoot the ogrers eye to weaken his shield or something. Maybe he then goes berserk and we need to shoot the back part of its leg to make him fell. You know stuff related to shoot or use our powers. But thats just my opinion.
-
They have both though. Not just puzzles and not just shooting mechanics.

I agree but at the same time don't. Yes Bungie could use some more mechanics that rely on gunplay and no call outs and some other more unique stuff. However having these kind of mechanics are good as well. They help with team coordination and can provide a challenge at times. And then the ball mechanics are nice because not every mechanic should require a lot of focus. Having something simple like the ball works perfectly to fit this role.
-
Yes its not that the silly mechanis should not exists at all. But they are just way too predominant. Like they should not dictate the outcome of an encounter over your shooting skills, loadout, etc.

Edited by canflipper: 1/8/2019 9:02:30 PMtell me about it. I think pve should focus more on shooting. shooting tactics. Certain weapons for certain parts of a battle. Confronting an enemy that requires us to actually make use of our abilities. But no. We actually need to tell another guardian to stand or shoot random platforms or whatever. That for some unknown reason someone build. Its like bowser designs the encounters seriously. We could be battling waves of those red cabal ships. Interceptors. You know. Using our brains and our hand to shoot. But no. We are gymnastic class guardians or something. Thats why part of the game feels boring and monotonous. Because we keep grabbing and throwing balls and calling animal signs. Jesus its 2019 and i still see this shlt in destiny. edit: -blam!- typo
