Bad puzzle was not the issue. You said it locked players out, it does not. "big deal" and "seemingly designed for streamers" are opinions. The puzzle is available to anyone who wishes to attempt to unlock it so no one is barred from participating and those who do not can enter the forge when someone unlocks it. To the best of my knowledge, they never claimed the labs was an interactive puzzle to unlock the forge, only that it was an event and not a dungeon. Someone, such as yourself, who does not care to participate in it could have been the one to solve it and unlock it faster.
