Well...no. You paid for a product, its as simple as that. This is the product. A slow roll-out of content for a pretty cheap price. There was no marketing ploy that sold it as anything but. The roadmap came out BEFORE launch if there was any doubt.
You may not like/enjoy how the product is, thats perfecetly fine. Either refund or do not purchase it again, lesson learned i suppose? Imagine if you bought dark souls and it was great and then after the 5th boss there was just a white screen with nothing on it. Its still a finished product, it may be a BAD one, and you may dislike it. But there wasnt any false advertising, they didnt state a set number of bosses or somthing.

Thing is though, this situation IS false advertising... "We are launching it today!" Woooo! *launches* "But only streamers can unlock it for everyone else. Surprise! Have fun playing it!" 10+ hours later, onto the next day... You don't give someone a gift, guarantee something is in it, then when they open it they get a lockbox without a key. And a note saying "some random person in the city has the key, good luck." No, that's false advertising and BS, no matter how you look at it.
-
Nope, its not false advertising. Once again, it is unlocked based on skill/knowledge. Thats like not being good enough to kill the first boss in dark souls and then complaining that its false advertising because the rest of the bosses are locked behind it. You 100% CAN play the lab, no false advertising, none. You can literally do it right now. And im sorry but thats another terrible analogy, its a cipher, a puzzle, these are real world things, they are hints designed to allow you to work out the solution, they are hard - evidently - but you can still do it, the smartest of us probably already couldve ( unless its bugged or somthing, in which case it still really isnt false advertising as much as it is really really sh!tty. ).

What skill is involved with shooting symbols and calling upon other people to figure out a puzzle?
-
Edited by Pure: 1/9/2019 3:48:42 AMThe skill and knowledge of those solving the puzzle...?? Are you even reading what you're typing? You do realise someone has to figure it out right? It doesn't just magically appear.
-
No I'm typing with my eyes closed? This is not skill. This is becoming a brute Force affair, as evidence by raid secrets and other such areas. This is currently not doable by oneself and it is quite old.
-
Or it could be somthing obvious that we're missing. Everything makes sense in hindsight. Puzzles are often brute forced the first time only to discover an easy solution after the fact. Don't get me wrong this 6th cipher is certainly a challenge and can be quite frustrating, I was more referring to the idea as a whole, the event imo is really great, the specifics like this particular puzzle could be improved.

We will just have to agree to disagree I suppose.

Lol fanboys will defend this till they die. Why is it then that legitimate people are gaing grounds with posing it in that manner? Look at twitter, people are getting refunds by using that claim. You don't seem to understand how false advertising is used: Look at this preview of stuff, see what it is, get a feel for it. Then release something completely different running the same idea. Sure we got the shown forge, but this bs was never told about. Bare minimum it's withholding important information so more people will buy into it. Either way, borderline illegal shady business practice.
-
You quite clearly don't understand business nor legal theory. This is no where near false advertising, if it was it'd be off the shelves. Simple as that. I won't discuss somthing with someone blinded by their hate. You can have your opinion, I don't care if you like the content or not. That's up to you, I argue on facts, you argue on insults. Call me a fanboy, at least my points hold merit.
